Laney Smith was a genius, simple as that. She excelled in chemistry and weaponry, often creating some of the fascinating tools that S.H.I.E.L.D. used on a daily basis. She liked her little world, the world full of chemical equations and statistics and numbers; it was comfortable for her. Laney Smith did not like being in the field.

However, when a mission requires her expertise, she's partnered with Clint Barton and sent off to another continent. Laney didn't like being partnered, and she didn't like being forced into a mission. But Clint Barton proves himself to be a trustworthy partner, unlike those in the past, and the friendship that they created had become one in a million. After that, as long as Clint was her partner, Laney Smith didn't mind being in the field anymore.

But along the way, Clint and Laney caused trouble, leaving a little rubble and confused minds behind them. Clint Barton and Laney Smith soon became known as Double Trouble.

- at the success, Fury pairs Laney and Clint together a lot and they begin to cause some humored trouble
- after their regular missions, everyone calls them Double Trouble
- and they pull harmless pranks all the time too
- they're meant to be friends
- but a romantic element can be added if wished
- and the ending is up to the author too
- if Laney is with the OG6, that is also up to author
