Elizaveta Samsonov was one of the twenty eight Black Widows. She was forced to drop the title after her graduation ceremony and given over to HYDRA. Elizaveta was fearless and ruthless, deadly with a silver dagger balanced between her fingers. She was never caught and quickly became a legend of Russian origin, told to children so that they'd behave. Russia's Worst Nightmare, Elizaveta Samsonov became and proudly claimed the title, until she learned what she was truly doing. She was working for the wrong ones for far too long.

Natasha Romanoff was another one of the twenty eight Black Widows. She kept the title after graduation and worked for KGB for many years. Natasha traded the KGB for S.H.I.E.L.D. after she was given a second chance and believed she was fighting for a good cause. It wasn't until the fall of both S.H.I.E.L.D and HYDRA, she had traded one organization for the other and still did all the dirty work. When Natasha leaked all the secrets, she found the file on the girl she loved before both of them were tainted.

Elizaveta made it her mission to tract down the rest of the ex-HYDRA soldiers that made her life hell. It was time for them to pay. When Natasha began getting on Elizaveta's trail, red roses for left the younger woman.

Red roses were a symbol of what used to be and what could've been. For Natasha, it was hope that Elizaveta was still the woman she loved.

- and they were young lovers in the Red Room
- they were just hidden
- but they were split up when Elizaveta graduated
- basically, Elizaveta was another soldier for HYDRA but she was never brainwashed
- and when HYDRA fell, she managed to get away because along the way she learned that she was doing evil
- but she still tracks down ex-HYDRA operatives for justice but she also knows that Nat is looking for her and leaves roses
- Nat knows the roses are a sign
- eventually Nat catches up and they rekindle their relationship
- it takes some time, but Elizaveta does become a good guy with the Avengers but this should be after the events of AoU
- this story can be followed through until Endgame, but where and how the story ends is up to the author
