As talented as the Evans kids are, only three really decided to make careers out of it. Chris and Scott pursued it full time, while Rachel only did part-time and still lived in her hometown. However, as her big brother closes the last chapter of his Marvel career, Rachel decides to pursue acting full time.

Her family is supportive as she packs up her apartment to move in with Chris, all the way across the country to start her career fully. At first, it's easy as she does audition after audition, and finally gets a part. But it's the media that makes it hard. People are just mean, insulting her and saying how she's using her brother for fame.

In this time of struggle, Rachel leans on her big brother and best friend, Chris. But she also didn't expect to find comfort in her big brother's best friend, Sebastian, either, nor did she plan to fall in love with him.

• but when Chris hears of this, he knows better and tells Seb that his sister is hands-off for a whole romantic relationship
• and he's okay with that at first
• then he's slowly developing feelings for her, but he doesn't say anything bc Chris is his best friend
• Rachel is the first one to say anything about feelings and Sebastian tries to deny everything
• but that doesn't work.
• and the rest is up to the author
• the title is based on the idea that Rachel is funny and always teasing her brothers, and the whole "falling for my brother's best friend is a cliche" trope and she finds that hilarious
• but she hadn't meant to fall for him, and vice versa
