Chapter 27

With Dallas showing up and Anna forcing me to go to a party where people might notice I'm pregnant, I almost forgot I had a baby daddy, until he showed up Saturday morning while I was in sweats bad Gavin's sweatshirt. I rushed to the door, hoping it was the box of cupcakes I'd ordered from my friend Janine but  instead of the red haired petite woman, I was met with the gorgeous Sebastian.
He flashed me a quick smile, "Good morning". I just stood there gawking at him.

"Who the hell is here at this ungodly hour?!" Anna shouts from the couch she'd most likely slept in. "Call the police!"

I smile nervously and motion for him to come in, even though I was just being polite, but he steps in and I catch a whiff of his glorious scent. Are people supposed to smell this good?

He sits on the chair facing Anna, who was no longer sprawled on the floor. She glared at me as she tried to comb through her hair and pull up her fleece at the same time.

"Mr. Black, what brings you here?" I push Anna's legs and sit in the space I created.

"Sebastian," he looks at us amusingly, Anna is practically trying to kill me with her eyes, "I wanted to see you- the baby I mean- and you of course but not in a weird way, just to see how you are doing with the um... baby".

At this point he's leaning towards the edge of his seat, while scratching his head and now Anna is amused. His calm and collected composure is now ruined but I find it cute.

"Well I have my next check up soon," I suggest but he doesn't take the hint. "Maybe you can join me?"

"Yes, that sounds great," he smiles, oh that smile.

"Maybe your fiancee can come too?" I add and I notice the frown that's gone almost as fast as he replies.

"No, she has a lot of things going on right now."

I nod my head and he nods his head and Anna frowns at the both of us for creating the sudden awkwardness.

"So how did you and that fiancee of yours meet?" Anna asks, trying to break the silence.

"Our families were in business together at some point and we were introduced," Sebastian answers.

"And?" Anna presses on and he chuckles a little, knowing what she wants him to say exactly.

"Then we dated, nothing special." He smiles and then glances at me before turning back to my Best friend. "I've never really been the romantic type, plus it was all arranged, I doubt they're any real feelings involved".

Wow, what a jerk. Clearly that other Blaire loves this guy but it's also clear that he doesn't feel the same way.

"That makes you sound like a prick." Anna voices out my thoughts. "Clearly that woman loves you, she has a crazy way of showing it but she loves you alright".

He catches me nodding and he realizes his mistake, "that did make me sound awful huh?"

"Blaire is great and we've been friends for as long as our families have been in business together but it felt like we were pressured into getting married not because we loved each but for a business deal." He says it and then widens his eyes, realizing that he just poured out his heart to people who were technically strangers to him.

"Your fiancee clearly didn't get the memo," Anna let's out with a not so subtle cough and I nudge her to shut up.

I look up at him expecting him to get mad but he just shrugs and then looks directly at me.

"We still have several things to discuss," he uses a formal tone that has me frowning on the inside, and I  hope Anna didn't offend him too much.

"Why don't you guys talk over dinner tonight?" Anna offers and I glare at her.

"No offense but meeting you in public places is dangerous," I shudder and he chuckles, beautifully might I add, noticing the dimple that forms. His eyes sparkle when he laughs, do eyes even sparkle? I shake off the thought and gather myself, why is he affecting me so much?

"So tonight, here?" He asks and I barely have time to understand what they had been talking about before Anna answers for me.

"Yeah, she'll be here."

"What about the party?" I am almost ready to murder my best friend.

"What party?" Anna cheekily grins.
