"Your shoulder is the most comfortable pillow in the world" she joked as she placed both hands on my bare shoulders and gave it a slight squeeze before staring at me.

"Thanks for the silent communication and all" She wiped her eye with the back of a finger and sniffed before letting out a laugh "God I hate crying" she said between laughter and I smiled.

"It's my mom, she has been admitted to the hospital as usual." She sniffed as she continued "At this point I don't think that there is something about the two of them that can scare me anymore, so sorry to ditch you, but you know" I nodded in understanding, and she nodded back before turning around to leave.

I watched her back as she entered the car and sighed inwardly, before waving her goodbye when she horned.

I called shayne of course lied to her that I haven't been picking up her calls because I wasn't with the phone, she said she was cool with it and picked me up in no time.

It was unlike what I had imagined, I mean I have never been to a party before doesn't mean I haven't seen it in movies or whatnot, but this shouldn't be called a party, instead social gathering.

I scanned the room and saw some familiar faces, but I didn't relate well with them, so I didn't go over to say hi. A very slow classic was playing in the background which made the atmosphere appear cool while the design and setting screamed money.

Even though the exterior looked normal, the interior was however the opposite and on the walls hung several expensive art pieces. I let my gaze wander before following shayne to her seat.

Luckily, she chose a more seclusive corner to sit, just what I wanted, free from the attention and gossips. Unfortunately, I was wrong with that second one because Shayne who is beside me should be crowned the queen of gossips. She and her other friends kept bickering and whispering into each other's ears in a not so quiet manner completely ignoring, and I secretly thanked God for that.

Scanning the room, I spotted Sheebah in another corner just like ours, her table wasn't in a noticeable spot and I couldn't help but question what Becca said about her. Didn't she like attention? Why would she sat there?

Nevertheless, I looked down, pretending to be doing something but truth to be told, all my attention was on her. She might have noticed my gaze on her, because the next time I raised my head I was met with her eyes and our gaze locked for a moment waving in my direction as she mouthed something that seemed like a hi.

I waved back in courtesy considering that I had initially come here because of her. Shayne and her friend's whispers were getting louder by the minute by and even if I didn't intend to overhear, I couldn't help it.

"I heard Edward is coming" One of her friends whom she had introduced as Lisa said.

"Yeah and Valentino too, Marcus who is rarely seen is also coming." The other chimed in, at this point I was over trying to guess their names but nonetheless kept listening.

"Even though I hate that Diane of a girl, I also vote that this party must have costed a bomb"

"Yes and to be able to invite Edward! Oh my Gosh am happy I didn't miss it".

"Did you hear? One time I heard her father was on the verge of bankruptcy and had no other choice than to tie her with Meurer, Marcus stepbrother".

"Yeah I also heard about it. The rumors were pretty intense at first but as time passed it died down. Ooh, now I know how they must have found money to organize such a party" The other sneered in disdain.

"Yeah and her sister? I heard she is Sheebah's new bestie. That reminds me that Sheebah is too secretive. With how updated I am about our families (our as in aristocratic families) I don't think I have ever caught a whiff of the Haqq's".

Shayne was the one to talk this time.

"The girl looks foxy though. Heard she is a common slut. Look at her, even though she dressed up 'innocently' I can see that she is deliberately trying to flaunt her wealth. Even go as far as wearing from Chanel's latest season The words were said out of sheer envy but I could understand that their words was not unfounded.

"I know right, I had begged my mom to get me that piece, but she insisted I must get at least a P in Piano class to get one."

"She looks like a clown in it though" they all burst into laughter when suddenly I heard them suck a deep breath. I looked up to see what the cause was but was instead petrified even though I wasn't involved.

This, I must say is the real definition of busted and as it turns out Sheebah has been here all the while and probably overheard all that was said about her. However, her expression did not change and even looked calm as if she was not the one that was being gossiped about.

She gave a look as if to brush them off before pulling out a chair from beside me to seat.

"Hi guys" she greeted warmly which only made the gazes on the others worsen, and uncaring, she picked up her glass and casually took a sip of her champagne, deliberating showing off the Tiffany bracelet on her wrist. Shayne and her cohorts had their gaze fixed on her the entire time and just as predicted, one of them couldn't take it anymore and 'mistakenly' splashed her wine on Sheebah's dress.

Incidents like this are common in parties and although some people managed to notice the commotion, they still had an indifferent look as they watched.

Since her cloth was already red, one who did not know would think that it was water that wet it, still the already tight cloth now stick to her thighs like glue.

Unable to contain their laughter, they started laughing loudly, lacking the eloquent and manner of an elite as they snapped away on their phone Sheebah's sorry state.

"Am so sorry the cup slipped. Chanel's Latest The Sun and Moon right" she acted like she had just noticed before bragging, "I think I have about seven clothes from that collection. I'll just repay you with another. ' Lisa apologized hypocritically, and I couldn't help but commend her shamelessness. For one to be saying that one had seven pieces of The Sun and Moon, was that not deliberately trying to show off? I looked up at Sheebah and saw her smile.

"There's no problem, I have this one, so definitely I have others like it too. So funny I was wondering why I feel out of place, it might probably because someone's brother was arrested for sexual abuse. Ooh! lest I forget, you could just seek those clothes and use the money to pay for the lawyer. Good luck. For now, I think I'll just have to change" sheebah hit a blow after the other and the usually chatty Lisa was struck dumb as she listened to the other party, leisurely threaten her with her secrets. It appears Sheebah was exactly as Becca described. Foxy and at the same time acting innocent.

She cast me an apologizing glance and I nodded, acknowledging her. It wasn't like I had anything to do with the incident anyways.

When I saw her stand up to go to the bathroom, I figured now was the best time to get some alone time with her, so I stood up and followed suit.
