|Ava|
I pressed on a tree trunk breathing heavily. The heat inside my blood boiled. My skin started sizzling steam, as if I am made out of lava. I was dripping wet as rain poured on me. The weird thing about it was that I couldn't feel a thing. The skin surrounding my blood and bones were numb. The scares on my neck kept beating strong. I gripped my neck and limped through the forest. It's been weeks since the last I've seen my pack. Weeks that I ever had a meal or water.

A rustle was heard toward the bush. I smelt a wild animal near by.
"Attack." The she wolf in my head howled.
My stomach twist and turn, cramping at the smell of animal. I lick my lips starving for something edible to rip violently apart. I was hungry, as my lips pressed together.
I held myself back.

Werewolves are forbidden to attack another animal or living being, unless given permission.

A huff was heard from the she wolf. She wanted food, no. We wanted food. A werewolf can not go on without a week of starvation. If we starve for a week or more. Our bodies won't be stabled. Werewolves are involved with ability (superhuman strength/speed/agility, healing factor, shape shifting, senses, and night vision). We collect energy from the amount of food we eat. Werewolves practically eat 200 calories within every meal. If we do not allow ourself to eat, then our bodies will be completely out of control. That's not worse than the Crystal wolf. The crystal wolf vanished after the war between her and her evil twin. That history will be forever told.

Though not eating for a week will causing of effect to the DNA system, symptoms would be either seizures or paralyzation. I didn't have either of them. Frustration and confusion had me on the ground. I was lost. There was no guidance, so I cried. In the pit of darkness. Where my shadows fall behind me.

I bolted up, cold sweat drip off my forehead. Holding tight onto a red and black plaid blanket. I calm myself down with a couple of deep breaths. Flipping the blanket off of me I still have on my Halloween costume. I am aware of my surroundings.
"Where am I." I whispered to myself.
I am surprised my wolf is desperate, whining for her mate to come back. I didn't understand. I sniff out a scent. I flinched. This is his house! I'm in his house!

I began to panic hearing footsteps coming down the stairs. Alaric took one more step landing on the flats surface. He's held a gray tray stuffed with food. My stomach growled. The growl sound reflected in the room, causing Alaric to look my way. I flustered.
"You're awake." He smiles.
Alaric walk closer to me, placing the tray down on the glass table.
"Are you feeling alright?" Alaric placed his hand on top of my forehead. I felt like a tomato once he touched me.
"No fever, which is good." He bend down facing me.
"The question is, how are YOU feeling." He asked. My wolf is happy that her mate is giving her undivided attention.
"I'm fine, but what happened last night?" I put my legs close to my body.
"What do you remember so far?" Alaric voice deepens into a serious tone.

I sighed pitching my nose.
"I remember that me and Noah started drinking. He ask if he can go somewhere, so I allow him to. Then not even an hour gone by. A guy that was wearing that green arrow costume drank with me. So we chatted. I drank too much, but I only have like 7 cups. Alcohol doesn't effect me it just makes me tipsy. Then I asked him to watch my drink. After I went to the restroom, I got back snatching my drink from him chugging it all."
"Wait what?! You let a stranger watch over your drink?!" Alaric shouted at me.
"I was tipsy! I didn't know what the hell I was doing." I hissed at his shouts.
"Ava, he overdosed your drink!" Alaric pointed out.
I look down being shock that a human could do that. Then again I should've known.
Alaric slide his hand on my cheek. I tilt my head in his hand, laying in the palm of his hand. I closed my eyes. The warmth on his hand made me relax.
"You are lucky I was near by when I heard you calling for me." He whispered.
My wolf growled willingly, a tingling enthusiastic sensation proving that Alaric heard me calling his name.

The atmosphere was silent, finding this beautiful and satisfying for the both of us. Then a deep snicker broke the silence. My one eye peek seeing Alaric laughing quietly.
"You know, you're very honest when you're drunk."
Alaric separate his hand away from me creating a cold breeze between us.
I gasp, sharply looking at him. My heart started racing thinking hard to remember what I said to him.
"What did I say?!" I pled.
"No I'm keeping it a secret." Alaric mix the food trying to keep it warm for me.
"Alaric tell me!" I huff and puff.
"You're cute when you're like this." He laughed.

I'm so confused what is with him. First he ignores me for a few weeks and now talks to me as if nothing happened. I love it when he talks to me and takes good care of me, but it's best for him to just stay away from me. I am a monster nothing compares to Veronica. He'll never love me.

"Eat up. I have to take a call." Alaric inform me.
"Please don't tell anyone. If mom found out about this, she won't be too happy."
I frowned. The thought of me staying in my room forever taunt me. I wouldn't search for my family or have clues to where they were.
"Ava don't fright. I will never do that to you. I may date Veronica, but I'm not that ugly." Alaric kiss my forehead.

I froze. Did he...?
"And plus." He leaned in closer to my face.
Alaric lips barley touch mine. I felt his heated breathing passing my cold breath. Alaric brown eyes stared throughly at my silver ones. His orbits shine with desire leading me with goosebumps.

"She's not you."
