The wind hurled my body from the fall. My eyes aimed at the direction of the pool I would dunk in. I close my eyes and held my breath to prepare the intense burn throughout my body. "Splash" causing water to spill out of the pool. I raised up, gasping for air. The cold water helped with some of the heating process.
All female wolfs has the heating system from either needing their mate to continue the mating process or we haven't been claimed yet. I grumbled as my arms lift me up out of the pool.
"Ava?" I heard Alaric calling out my name.
"Shift now!" My wolf demanded.
I hesitate.
I couldn't shift it's been years since I did. My only thought is to run. Hurry and dash away, so I did. My legs moved running from his calls. Everything top and bottom is wet dripping off of my clothes. I couldn't face Alaric in my heating process. If I come even near him, my wolf would completely take control. I stopped at my track I was by the 7-eleven gas station. My wolf needed some water and for I am thirsty.
I am now walking, drinking a sip of water. The water dropped off the side of my lip making it look like I was drooling. I am gladly wearing a dry outfit throwing the old ones away back at the gas station. If I wore them another hour my wet clothes would become stiff at the cold weather. It would be nice to be in someone arms.
The thought of Alaric, am I foolish for this action of mine. I could of been selfish marking him right there and then. He would've been mine, but consequences had to ruin everything for me. I sigh. A ping in my chest had me coughing up water.
I had to get home.

The weekend was painful and filled with stress. This heat gotten worse, the fact that I have not been marked over the years kept me urging for my claim. Alaric, himself felt like I was under a spell.
I gulp setting foot onto SpringVill district. The scent of fresh rainforest was in the distance where the front double doors are. I choked on my saliva at the sight of him. He stared at me with extreme fire in his pupil. My heart raced. I knew Alaric hated me from panicking at my disappearance. I quickly walked into the school and shove my books into my locker. I heard a bang nervous that it might be Alaric confronting me.
"Yo!" Noah voice ring my ears.
I turn my head to see his goofy smile that I haven't seen before.
"Noah! I'm so happy to see you!"
I am happy. Noah is the only person that wasn't crazy in this school. Maybe a pervert, but not crazy. Noah white teeth sparkle smelling fresh peppermint in his mouth. I am surprise not scenting any alcohol or any cigarettes in my presences. I punch his chest.
"What's the deal?" I smirked.
"What do you mean?" Noah rub the place I punched him at.
"You don't reek." I chuckled.
"You have a strong scent of smell." He grin.
"I got a date!" He confess quickly.
"Oh who's the lucky girl that made you smell all peppermint patty for?" I beam walking forward to class with Noah.
"Her name is Valentina! Blonde hair very attractive." Noah eyes flickered with some sort of shine in them. It's like he has never had a spark before, but why?
"She sounds sexy." I giggled.
"She is! She just has that smile that gets me to do this." Noah body leaned over me pushing me to the locker. I laugh and push him off of me.
"Ok, ok! What else?" I made me straighten his body.
"Her voice is a angel guiding me to the right path. Have I ever told you she sings!? God my heart flutters to her beautiful voice." Noah blushes.
I smile a bit, zoning out. What would life be like, if it could be easier to give Alaric my all? He had that magic touch that stole my heart. Alaric's touch made me shiver and the aching to my body. My mind scramble to the event yesterday. How Alaric cared for me, made me food, the warm touch of his hands. The kiss on the forehead.
The heat in my chest jump sharply out of no where. I gasp biting my bottom lip in pain. My body burns forming shaking to the undertaking situation.
Alaric made such of a affect.
"Ava?" Noah call out to me.
"Yes?" I flinch breathing heavily.
"You ok? You were silent for a minute." Noah said.
"Yeah just stress." I forced a smile.
"Stress about Alaric." Noah bluntly stated.
I stay silent by the name of my mate coming out of Noah's mouth.
"Kind of." I whisper.
Noah wiggle his eyebrows excitedly awaiting for me to continue.
"It's compl-"
"Alaric kissed you?" Noah interrupt me fast.
My silver eyes widen. He is so good at guessing the situation.
"It's not really a kiss. I don't even know what it is to my opinion." I explain.
It is true. I had no clue what the kiss means to him. Was it just a friendly kiss? Or was there something more to it than just a kiss? Alaric is hard to even read at times. If I could just mark him I would be available to read his mind and how he feels. The thought of that made my inner wolf growl loudly.
"Whoa.." Noah coughed to get my attention.
I shut my growling up and nervously mumbled "Sorry". Before the bell rang.
I sat in class hearing the teacher giving a speech about parallel and non parallel lines. I kept having heat going on and off in my body. It's worse when Alaric is close to me as it is. His stares were digging deep in my skull. He knew it's a motivation for me to stiff. I could hardly concentrate on the teacher demonstrating the equation. I move my head to the side at the sight of the window. Trying to focus on something else besides Alaric.

Finally the lunch bell rang. Today came out unhurried and I dislike that. I decided to go outside to get some fresh air. My heat system only gets worse when Alaric is near me which I am gladly he isn't much. I am trying my best to avoid him, but every time I do. Alaric always has a way to just ruin the plan. I don't understand! Why is it difficult to ignore him? I laid down to my back on the grass. The grassy green color shined from the yellow ray of our sun. I inhale the earthy scent that sent a calm heaven to my body. I sight the sky above me. The light blue sky is covered with puffy clouds and a bright sun that went into the clear white clouds.
Goddess it is gorgeous. I would live forever to stay here. I smile peacefully, enjoying the time of being alone for the first time. My ears flinch at the sound of rustling in the grass. My heart effect a hammer to my upper chest, causing a burn to my blood pressure. A whiff of rainforest I wish that didn't exist.
"Ava." A deep serious voice made me shiver.
I gulp seeing Alaric over me. His tan skin drip with sweat through his uniform. Alaric hair came out damp today and his breath had my legs close from pleasure at how hard he is breathing.
"Y-Yes?" I stuttered as my silver eyes moved away from Alaric.
"We need to talk."
