Dally's POV
Maddie was released from the hospital today. Darry had came to pick us up. There were two reasons for this. One, my car was totaled. Two, even if my car was fine, I wouldn't be comfortable driving with my precious Madison in the car with me. Me and Maddie got in the back of the small Curtis car. She smiled and rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled at her. "Dally?" She said. "Yeah Mads?" I said looking in her perfect blue-gray eyes. "I love you," she said before kissing my cheek. "I love you, too," I said, smiling wide.

When we arrived at the Curtis house, Madison took a deep breath, "I missed this place." I chuckled, "Didn't ya' miss me?" She tackle-hugged me, "I missed you the most." She let go of me and ran into the house, "I'M BACK!!!" Darry couldn't help laughing.

Madison's POV
"I'M BACK!!!" I yelled. I woke up Two-Bit, who was passed out on the couch. Ponyboy and Johnny came into the living room, "Maddie!" Both of them came up and hugged me. It was very un-greaser of them, but who really cares! I hugged the two tight. God, I missed them.

I heard Dally and Darry chuckling. I looked at Dally, "Is me hugging Pony and Johnny funny to you?" He nodded. I smirked, "You know what is really funny, Dal? My pet name for you. Should I tell everyone?" His eyes went wide, "Y-You wouldn't." I smirked, "Try me." He kept his mouth shut tight. I handed Dal a piece of folded up paper I had in my pocket. It was a song I wrote about my mom. Later I mouthed to Dally. I sat next to Two-Bit on the couch.

A little later, Steve and Sodapop came in. "Hey everybo- MADISON!" Soda yelled as soon as he saw me. I chuckled, "Hey Soda. Hi Steve." Steve waved then went to the kitchen.

The gang and me were all laughing and hanging out until about 9:30 when Dally got tired and suggested we go home. "Okay," I smirked and decided to call him by the pet name I used for him, "let's go Dally-Doll." Dally turned red and went outside. "Bye!" I called before following Dally. He was red as a beet, "That was embarrassing!" I laughed, "Yeah. When we get home can I see your guitar. I have a good tune for that song." "It is about your mom, isn't it?" I sighed and nodded.

As soon as we got home, I grabbed Dally's guitar. I hummed as I played a few notes and started singing;

"She had a dead-end job at the National Bank
And a deadbeat husband who always drank
So when he didn't come home
She had the gin to thank for the tears in her eyes
So Dixie packed up and said her goodbyes

She went driving so far away nobody's gonna find her
Flying just fast enough, to leave it all behind her
But she didn't know till she hit the road, deep in her soul
She's got the fire and the fight of a gypsy
Ain't nothing stronger than the heart of Dixie
The heart of Dixie

It's a funny thing when your world falls down
It's got a way of showing you what you're all about
Now Dixie's got her wheels pointed south
And she ain't never looking back
Nobody knew she was brave like that

She went driving so far away nobody's gonna find her
Flying just fast enough, to leave it all behind her
But she didn't know till she hit the road, deep in her soul
She's got the fire and the fight of a gypsy
Ain't nothing stronger than the heart of Dixie
The heart of Dixie

Yeah Dixie woke up to the truth one day
Grabbed her cheap sunglasses and her lipstick case

And she went driving so far away nobody's gonna find her
Flying just fast enough, to leave it all behind her
But she didn't know till she hit the road, deep in her soul
She's got the fire and the fight of a gypsy
Ain't nothing stronger than the heart of Dixie
The heart of Dixie

O-o-oh
The heart of Dixie
O-o-oh"
I sniffled at the very last part. It was all so true. Dally hugged me, "It was beautiful." "She will be here tomorrow," I reminded him. "I know. You better get some rest," he said before kissing my forehead and carrying me to bed.
