Pete was happily dancing to his hideout when the turtle saw him.

"Oh, no. When the bad guy is that happy, it always, always means..." the turtle commented, pulled out a tuba, then announced, "Bad-guy song!"

He then played the tuba as Pete began to sing.

"I was born to cheat and lie
I'm a mean, rotten guy
When you ask me why I'm nasty
Here's my reason why"

He was pointing at a picture of his mom in prison on his desk.

"At that stork delivery,
Mommy screamed
'Woe is me, such a dork
Hey, Mr Stork, behold my misery

Pete is ghastly, Pete's a blob
Pete's a nasty, naughty slob'
Can it, sister, I'm the mister
who will get the job"

He then went underground where he rode a train type machine to his hideout.

"So I'm nasty, I'm no good,
I'll be king, knock on wood
I'll impress ya, though I'm just a common lowly hood, ha!

If you can't be loved, be feared
Don't get shoved, sheep get sheared
Be the king, pull the strings
Or else you might get smeared"

Pete then made it to a rope that took him down and on the other end we're a bag of bricks that were slowly going down.

"I'm so happy I could dance, seize my chance, I'll advance
Come and cheer me, love and fear me
Petey's king of France, ha ha"

He was then greeted by Clarabelle.

"Evening, trusted lieutenant. Watch out for the bricks," Pete told her, getting off the basket and tossing her his hat.

"What?" she asked, catching his hat.

The basket of bricks then fell on her.

"Come and cheer me, love and fear me
Petey's king of France"

He ripped off his clothes to his overalls as he kept singing then slowly stopped when he no longer heard music.

"Why'd the music stop?" he wondered.

Then the Beagle Boys were in the pit, doing their own thing: either reading a book, playing Jacks, and drawings picture of Pete in the dirt.

"Hello, boys," Pete greeted grumpily.

They looked up to see him. Shorty scribbled the drawing away, Butch ate the Jacks, and Bruno blew his nose in the book before putting it away.

"Think you might have some spare time to go and snatch the princess?" Pete asked with fake positivity.

"Yeah, I think," Shorty responded, looking at his watch.

"Well, quit thinking and do it! The opera's tomorrow night!" Pete reminded them.

Opera music and singing went on again, making Pete confused for a minute.

"The job's got to be done by then! Remember?" Pete continued.

"How can we help?" Shorty asked.

"I want you to grab her, find a remote tower somewhere and lock her away forever, so as no one can ever find her again! You got me, dingbats?" Pete ordered.

"Sure thing, boss," the Beagle Boys saluted then ran off.

Before they left though, Pete sent them to the huge prison to make sure Max was in check. But Max took this to his advantage to make him look presentable for when Jamie would come back.
