CHAPTER FIFTY SEVEN: PART TWO
NOAH CRANE
Looking sideways, I gripped my gun when I saw four men standing oblivious about their surrounding. No one noticed us yet so we took our time securing ourselves inside the building. Someone nudge me behind, looking around I got to see Coby's smug face looking at the guys in the corner.
"Noah, stay behind me as I take care of them, okay?" he whispered, looking back at me with slight worry on his eyes.
We decided to split into partners to find North, East, West and Josiah. Kami ni Coby ang magkasama, samantalang si South at Genesis naman ang partners habang si Atarah at Rucc ang magkasama. Si Vape ay solo siya sa katwiran ni Genesis na kaya na niya ang sarili kahit pa panay ang reklamo ni Vape.
Vape showed us the blueprint of the old building of this plastic factory but we exactly doesn't know where they are the captives so we decided to look for everywhere without alarming everyone. Sabi ni Timog kailangan naming maging maingat at maging alerto, marami ang bantay at mga armado sila at tiyak na hindi rin basta-basta. I could feel the adrenaline rushing through me but I restrain myself for making some stupid move without a warning. Kahit gustong gusto ko ng sumabak sa gyera ay hindi pa pwede, I must stick to the plan. Kaonting kamali lang ay pwedeng mapahamak ang mga bihag nila at mga kasama ko.
Per kahit sa kahit ilang beses ko ng sabihin sa mga kasama ko na hindi ko kailangan ng magtatanggol sa akin, they still insisted Coby to take care of me. Medyo nakakainis pero hindi ko sila masisisi.
I chuckled softly as I scratched my nape. "I'm fine, Coby" I said for the umpteenth times.
His brows furrowed, he looked kinda pissed but the concern seems forever stayed on his eyes everytime he looked at me. I hate that they still see me as a baby. Damn, I should had never acted like one before, now it seems like they don't trust me at all.
"You really looked different, ewan ko ba parang may mali," he tilted his head and focus his gaze on my face as if he's trying to solve me. "Si Noah ka ba talaga?"
Natawa ako nang itanong niya ulit ang ilang beses din na tinanong sa akin ni Rucc bago kami maghiwa-hiwalay. "Oo naman. Ako lang 'to Coby."
He open his mouth to speak but close it quickly, he shake his head insted and didn't press further.
"Whatever. Anyways just stick beside me okay? Kahit mukhang magiging okay ka naman ay kailangan pa rin kitang ingatan, kamatayan mo ay kamatayan ko rin" he winced and I nodded.
We focus our gaze to the men again, they are still busy chatting. Sinenyasan ako ni Coby na lumipat kami ng pwesto kaya tumango ako. Lowering our heads and gripping our guns, we silently and carefully move to the side while glancing from time to time to the men. Suddenly, the tallest man in the group slightly turn to our side, I froze but Coby quickly pulled me behind an old machine. Pressing our back at the cold metal behind, we heard a footsteps coming near us. Coby put his index finger on his mouth as a sign of silent and I nodded.
I hugged my knees as I sank further down at the ground, keeping myself small as possible. Hindi kami gumawa ng kahit na anong ingay, we even limit our breathing as footsteps became louder and nearer. From the wall in front of us, I saw a shadow of a man getting bigger and more accurate.
"Ano 'yon pare?" someone shout from afar.
"Parang may nakita lang ako!" the guy behind us shouted back. From his shadow I saw his long gun hanging on his shoulder. I tense and Coby noticed it so he quickly held my hand making me relax a bit.
