It's been almost three days. Approximately 57 hours since i last saw or heard from Teddy. I woke up to a fucking "omw to London, don't be mad, need time to think about this, I'll see you when I'm back" type of white shit excuse message and a similar voicemail I've been playing on repeat. I've been in my bag since then, overthinking and analysing each and every moment from that night. Still lost on what went wrong between the intimate kisses and us leaving the car for our respective homes. A knock on the door interrupts my self proclaimed pity party. Brandon's head pokes out from behind the door "let's go, we're booked into studio. You can let your feelings out in the booth so the mood swings and sulking at least benefit the band' he declares, stepping back out. Not without "you have five minutes, we're all downstairs and the car is on it's way." as a warning, I groan. Fuck my friends honestly.

The session proves to be productive once Ed shoves an empty notebook in my hand some hours into the night, and I begin to eventually fill the pages. "This here is good" he's standing over my shoulder, pointing at a certain paragraph. I nod in thought "yeah I wrote something along similar lines earlier"my hands are flipping the pages til I get to it. By this point, they're all surrounding me on the sofa. "Aight let's get this in the booth" B claps his hands as the others holler. We're doing this I guess. Sometime later, I'm watching Edwin's third go at what we've established as the chorus when my phone vibrates in my back pocket. My heart leaps and simultaneously drops again when I realise it's only an instagram notification.
