The smile on my face get like a permanent fixture, excitement translating into giddy laughter throughout conversations until we finally parked the car. "You're adorable peaches" a familiar voice muttered in my ear, Z'a hands wrapping around my hips as we looked at the winery. "Is it cute orrrr...you know, slightly worrying how much T likes her alcohol" Nick interrupts our unfiltered love fest, my middle finger flying up defensively. "Let me enjoy my vino" I joke, heading inside after everyone. We're greeted by an arranged waiter who explains the wine tasting and tour I excitedly chose for everyone. Zion's hand in mine halts our steps in the direction the others are quickly disappearing to. "Don't hate me peaches, I planned something for just us two" his smile is unsure but hopeful. I nod along enthusiastically and with that he leads us in the opposite direction.

Z somehow convinced me he knows how to drive the golf cart waiting for us out front. We make our way through the acres of land, my eyes travelling across the bright landscape in wonder. The vehicle stops atop a hill, where we slip out. My boyfriend grab what looks like a picnic basket and my hand, guiding us to a spot overlooking the entire winery. "It's beautiful" I whisper, taking in the view. "Yeah.." he's brown eyes meet mine when I look to the side. He snaps out of the eye contact to spread a blanket before gesturing me to the spot beside him. "My lady" his tone joking. We drink and snack on what's in the basket, Zion finally admitting to having called the place hours earlier to bribe the owners into putting his vision together. "You've done all this for me?" I ask, his cheeks unusually pink as we lay across the blanket, increasingly drunk on each other, sun warming my skin comfortably. He nods eventually, "of course, I would do anything for you" he states, referencing to earlier on when I insinuated this to not be his thing. "I enjoy anything with you" was his heart warming response. I'm staring at this boy, his chiseled face millimetres from mine, skin glowing and eyes warm. "I...I think I love you" my words are whispered into the summer air. For a second it's entirely too silent and I'm stuck between thinking he might've not heard me and an internal panic that his silence spoke for itself. All worries slip away when the dread head cups my cheek, his body hovering carefully over my smaller frame. "Say that again" he stutters, eyes staring directly into my own. My chest expands with one solid inhale, "I love you" I repeat on the exhale, louder this time. The confession is met with a blinding smile, his dreads surrounding us shaking lightly. "I love you too" the words are breathed directly into my lips, spreading them apart to welcome his embrace. We stay wrapped up in each other, my body instinctively pulling his warmth closer, our mixed moans and sighs travelling down the hill with the wind.
