"two hours?" her mom questioned with raised brows as she gave mimose that look. the one that read you out yo' godamn mind if you think i'm bout' to...
"you want me to let you go two hours away, with no type of help if you need it, no type of emergency contacts, no nothing?" she was out of breath by the end of her rant. "no mimi,"

mimose smacked her lips. "you always think so negative," she stood up from her moms bed.

"and what exactly do you get out of this?" her mom asked, unwrapping the white towel from around her head so she could use a t-shirt to scrunch her four b curls. "why should i let you go?" her mom was tough on her but there was always that fifty fifty shot her mom gave her.

"it's a social bash," mimose stated. "it gives me a chance to make friends and get out the house every once in a while. not only am i getting paid for it, cause it's not even about the money, but it could really put my name out there and maybe get me a few steps closer to modeling," she shrugged.

modeling was very important to mimose. ever since her first campaign when she was six, modeling for her mothers fashion designs, she loved being in front of the camera. it was just the struggle of insecurities that ate at her mind twenty four seven.

her mom was silent for a bit. and mimose knew she had it in the bag when she mentioned her biggest passion because her mom wanted her to stick to one thing and go for it full out no matter what. "and you said it was how many days?"

"i leave friday night. the next day is basically me meeting a bunch of girls and then that night is a little prom gig. the next day i meet more people and then we leave that evening," she explained. it was something like that, she just didn't remember the email information word for word.

"don't make me regret this," her mom turned to her daughter with a stern look. "you always do something stupid when i let you go out. don't have no cops dropping you off at three a.m. or i'm beating your ass," and she said no more, walking into her bathroom so she could get ready for bed.

trying not to act out in front of her mom, mimose quickly got up, going straight to her room where she closed the door as soft as possible. she kind of stood there before squealing and quickly diving into her bed for her phone so she could confirm the whole deal with social bash and let mattia know they had three days until they officially meet.
