Dawn and Torvas walked out of the ice skating arena with their fingers intertwined with one another's. The weather was chilly and so they tightened their hands together as Dawn watched them walk past Torvas' car

"Aren't we taking the car?" She asked as she looked up at him

He shook his head. "The place I'm taking you isn't that far from here"

"Well where are you taking me?"

"You'll see" he replied as they walked down several blocks. Dawn lowered her head into her jacket as the wind blew against her face. Her eyes were sensitive so she didn't want her mascara to get smeared.

She observed the view of the quiet and collected neighborhood as the houses separated and she found herself being led towards an area with more stores and street lights with string decorations hung at lampposts

The quietness quickly turned into a life filled area where men and women walked hand in hand, as they laughed. Teenagers huddled together in the center of the closed off street as they ate desserts while sitting in foldable chairs

"What is this place?" Dawn asked curiously

"It's a new area that was just made. They basically closed off the streets and made a bunch of small bakeries and restaurants"

"When did they make this?" She asked as she looked around

"Like two years ago. How have you never seen this?" He smiles as he looked down at her

"I haven't been in jersey for a while" she sighed to herself as she looked away from the man she was with. She hadn't told him much about herself. She believed it was too early to know if he was truly ready to hear the depths of her early life

"Wanna go in here first?" He asked as he pointed to a small shop that seemed like a bakery. Dawn nodded as they pulled the door open and walked inside to the scent of strawberries and cream

The place was definitely an aesthetic. The walls were grey with beige colored chairs and golden painted tables. Small chandeliers hung from every few square feet of the area.

Dawn was amazed as she looked up at the walls. This was definitely a great addition to Jersey. When she had been a teenager, she hadn't explored much of the area. But from what she did see, it was boring and nothing special.

"Hey" a female voice said. She looked up to see a lady dressed in a black shirt and striped blue apron smiling softly at her. She had brown hair down to her shoulders and pale skin. She looked familiar but Dawn couldn't place her finger on who she was

"What can i get you guys?" She asked as she observed Dawn's features slightly with a confused look beginning to appear across her face

"Uhm" Dawn looked at the options that were held behind the glass. Her eyes grazed past assorted cupcakes and pastries and loaves of breads. "Can I get this one?" She pointed to the batch of Strawberry Pastry Strudels

"I'll get this one" Torvas pointed at the chocolate glazed cream filled Éclairs. The lady nodded as she took the two out with a sheet of paper and placed them in tiny golden decorated boxes

"I'm paying this time" Dawn smiled as she took out her wallet when the guy pushed to down as he did the first time they had met

"Credit" he said to the last behind the desk as he inserted his card. Dawn looked up at him with a straight face as he took his card out and mouthed "thank you" before taking Dawn's hand and walking out the shop.

"I'm mad at you" she said as she removed her hand from his

"Why? Because I paid?"

She nodded. "I'm fully capable of paying"

He smiled. "I know. You're capable of a lot of things" he said as he took her hand again and sat down at a table on the closed off sidewalk

"If you pay one more time than-"

"Oh shhh" he smirked as he took her pastry box out and handed it to her

"Make me" she said. The words had came out her mouth, without her intending on saying it.

Torvas raised an eyebrow. "Say no more. Wait till later"

Dawn's eyes widened as she felt her cheeks blush

"So did you live here as a child?" The man asked, completely ignoring the fact that Dawn was blushing completely.

She nods. "Uhh y-yeah. But then I moved to Connecticut and came back here senior year of highscohol. And then I moved again for a few years before coming back"

"Connecticut? How was it?"

She shrugs trying not to go into details. "It wasn't fun"

"Oh really?" He asked as he bit into his dessert

"How about you? Did you live here as a child?"

"Nah" he begins. "I actually moved here right after I graduated high school. My parents and I fell off completely. They weren't supportive of my choices"

"No way? Me too" Dawn laughs

"For real?"

"Yeah" she grins. "You're so much more like me then I thought you were"

The two continue talking as the night goes on. However while they were enjoying their night, Mattia was drinking his away

He slouched into his couch as he firmly pressed the bottle of alcohol to his lips. He felt the drink slide down his throat with a slight burn but he ignored it as he continued getting drunk

"Stop drinking!" Alejandro said as he took the bottle away from him. "I can't watch it any more! Stop!"

"What else am I s-supposed to do" Mattia slurs his words as he rolls his eyes

"Go do something with your girlfriend! Go have fun with her"

"She's a-at... work"

"So go surprise her" Alejandro says as he helps the boy stand. "I'll drive you there. You're too drunk to go by yourself"

"Fine" Mattia says as he walks to his room and changes his clothes

"Where does she work?" Ale asks his friend

"At a bakery shop"
