"How long is this gonna take" Dawn rubbed her hands across the goosebumps that trailed up her arm as her head was bowed to the floor

"Be patient" Michelle took Dawn's hand and rubbed the back of her thumb.

"I have to get home. I can't leave Alejandro with Adalyn alone for this long" she rubbed her face and sighed.

"They'll be fine" Mattia said flatly

Dawn gave him a side eye as she bit her inner lip. Slowly she felt the blood rush through her gums and her lip heat up. She ignored him during the ride to the hospital. And even now.

She didn't know why. She didn't know a lot of things. Especially why she was acting like this

Dawn stood from the chair in the waiting room when Michelle stood up aswell.

"Where are you going?"

"Just gonna ask how long it's gonna take" she replied when Mattia's voice stopped her from moving any further

"Just sit down, Dawn"

She hesitated before turning and facing him. Her eyes were burning. Her hands were tense. Her whole body was tense, actually.

"This is your fault so leave me be" she hissed and walked towards the front desk without turning to see his reaction. But she knew he was staring at her.

Which he was

He was furious. Why was she so hung up on this guy? He almost hit her... he was clearly abusive. It confused Mattia in the worst way possible

She always fell for the wrong people

"What the fuck is her problem" Mattia whispered to Michelle who's face determined she was in clear shock at Dawn's reaction

She shrugged. "Just don't piss her off right now-"

"Piss her off?" He scoffed. Michelle continuously shushed him until he stopped talking. His voice was gradually getting louder. No one in the waiting room needed to hear this private conversation.

He placed his hands over his mouth and stared at Dawn as she made her way over to the front desk

"Excuse me" she said blankly.

"Yes?" The lady asked as she looked up from her computer at Dawn.

"I just wanted to know how much longer it would take until I got an update"

The lady sighed profusely. "Name"

"T-torvas" Dawn shook her head. "I'm sorry— I mean uhm... Paolo Vasquez"

The lady nodded her head at her computer. "I'll call the room up for you"

"Thank you" Dawn leaned on the counter with her head steadied up by her hand as she waited
