N A R R A T I O N ❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧

Kairi and Dawn entered her home to the smell of Michelle making dinner in the kitchen. The house had a scent of rose water from the diffuser Dawn had installed mixed with what seemed to be lasagna in the oven.

"Dawn, come look" Michelle called out from inside the kitchen and both Dawn and Kairi made their way into the room.

"What is it?"

"My lasagna turned out perfect!" She stares down at the tray

Michelle turned around and looked at the two; with a slightly shocked expression on her face. "Hey" she said to Kairi. "Sorry-" she smiled and pointed to her pajamas. "- I wasn't expecting anyone to come over today"

"No no it's fine" Kairi began. "I'm not anyone special" he smiled broadly

"Kairi's gonna eat dinner with us tonight" Dawn said as her friend nodded

"Cool; thank god I made enough food. I'm gonna go change into a new pair of clothes and be right back" she said before exiting the kitchen

Once she was gone, Kairi and Dawn exited them room to where the two sat down besides eachother.

"So are you excited for the grand entrance you're gonna make in a week or not?" He laughed causing Dawn to shake her head playfully

"Can we switch excited with nervous?" She gritted her teeth together. "I don't wanna ruin their special day"

"It wouldn't be special without you there"

"Without me?" She laughed to herself and raised an eyebrow. "That's why he didn't invite me right? Kairi look I know that I'm gonna regret all of this.. I just look like a feen"

"You don't look like a feen-"

"Really? Showing up to my ex's wedding after he moved on from me. After he didn't invite me. After we stopped talking. After everything" she sighed

"If he moved on then he would've invited you. But he didn't. He's scared-"

"Scared? What the fuck am I gonna do to scare him"

"He's scared of what he's gonna do when he sees you there. Personally I think he wouldn't go through with the vows"

"Then I'm not going" she shook her head and furrowed her eyebrows. "I told you I don't want to ruin anything"

"You already bought the dress. It's not definite. I'm jus telling you what i think could happen"

"Let's just stop talking about this-"

"Dawn" Kairi took her hand in his. He stared into her eyes before looking down at their fingers intertwined. Then he removed his from hers

"Kairi-" she said gently before going to take his hand again when he pulled it further away. The two were quiet for a moment with nothing but unsure tension between them

"Dawn you don't know what you do to guys. Y- you don't know how perfect you are in their eyes. You have everything they could want and you don't see that. You're independent; beautiful-"
