"baekhyun?!" kyungsoo called out into the dimly lit street, the male wasn't where he was before.

he looked down at the old first aid kit in his hand that he managed to find in his kitchen cupboard; deep down wondering why was he even trying to help him.

he didn't know the answer to that. it was all too confusing. he knew he should've done something by now; something sane like calling the police yet he couldn't.

he couldn't do that to baekhyun — even though he knew what male did was wrong, so very wrong.

but right now his mind was more focused on the stab wound he just caused to the male; the male that was currently out of sight.

he couldn't help but feel worried for him.

he tried his best to follow the footprints in the thick snow below him, not sure if they were even baekhyun's, but he could tell the odd droplets of blood now and again belonged to male.

but the footprints soon came to a stop as did the blood.

kyungsoo couldn't tell where he had ran off to.

"idiot." he muttered under his breath. he was trying to help him; yet baekhyun had ran off somewhere. he couldn't understand why?

maybe the male thought he had different intentions.

he couldn't deny the thought did cross his mind when he entered the bungalow; to grab his cellphone and phone for help.

but he just couldn't. things were too complicated.

he knew he'd feel bad about it, there was still those lingering feelings for baekhyun even though he knew what the male did was terrible.

he murdered jongin.

yet, it wasn't so shocking to hear anymore. he pinched the bridge of his nose with frustration, standing still as he took a deep breath.

this seemed like a dream; a horrid dream that he somehow couldn't wake up from.

with a sigh he continued on throughout the bitter cold blizzard, he could only guess where the male could've ended up.

there was a possibility he had gone to his apartment. so kyungsoo decided on starting there.

if baekhyun wasn't there then he knew he'd worry; even though deep down he felt as though he shouldn't. he just hoped he was somewhere other than outside, it was one of the coldest nights of the year and he didn't want the male to catch a cold— or die from hypothermia.

he tried to push away the worrisome thoughts as he walked on, picking up his pace as his rushing questions had to be answered.

he had to know baekhyun was at least okay.

then he'd figure on how he felt about this whole messed up situation the two had landed themselves into.

he made it in front of the bookstore in no time, his quick footsteps walking through the familiar alleyway and up the stone steps.

the door was soon opened. baekhyun got him a second key soon after staying here became a usual occurrence.

"baekhyun? are you there?" kyungsoo questioned, but he was greeted with silence. he stepped further into the apartment, freezing in his spot when his eyes casted over the trashed living room.

the christmas tree on the table was on the floor, the radio beside it which was smashed to pieces. kyungsoo didn't know if he should be alarmed by this, especially when he looked at the mess the kitchen was in.

he knew baekhyun wasn't here. the apartment was too quiet; the male always greeted him as soon as he walked in the door no matter the circumstance.

he slowly retreated to the bedroom, sitting down on the bed with a tiresome sigh. he looked at the messy bed that still wasn't made from this morning; back when things were normal, back when he was still oblivious to baekhyun and the things he'd done.

his round eyes trailed over the lonely bedroom, soon stopping on something on the desk. he hadn't touched it since baekhyun got angry about it. he didn't think he was allowed to go near it due to how worked up baekhyun got.

he never did think anything of it after the male apologised; it was just an assignment.

but kyungsoo wasn't so sure now.

if baekhyun could keep a murder from him, he was pretty sure there could be other things lurking on his laptop.

he couldn't stop himself from sitting on the male's desk chair, pulling open the laptop, he heaved a sigh at the code he had to enter. he could only guess what the number would be so he typed in the male's birthday, surprised he got it on the first try.

that was normal, having your birthday as a password; that's what normal people did. baekhyun was normal.

kyungsoo let out a sigh. he knew he was trying too hard to reassure himself.

he couldn't stop the frown on his lips at the background that stared back, the picture of baekhyun and him hurting his heart; he couldn't help but feel guilty for the stabbing the male.

but then again, he felt like screaming at himself for thinking like that, he deserved it, didn't he?

his brown eyes were no longer focused on the background, he hovered the mouse over the folder that was labelled 'do kyungsoo'.

he was just about to click but something else caught his eye, the folder wasn't too far from the one with his name, it was labelled 'obsessions'.

his curious mind got the best of him, without thinking anymore he double clicked on the folder.

his heart slowly dropping at the alarming amount of other folders with other names he'd never heard of.

kim junmyeon, oh sehun, kim taeyeon...

the names went on and on, kyungsoo mind was blank. he didn't know what to do, who to click on first, how to react.

he stopped scrolling until he reached the bottom of the folder.

'mum and dad'

kyungsoo breathing hitched at the sight of it. something seemed so off about the folder. he chewed his lip in thought as he figured on what he should do.

stop when he still had the chance or venture till there was no return?

kyungsoo let out a wary sigh as the contents of the folder loaded and soon enough, curiosity killed the cat.
