-Tuesday Morning
-7:30 am

"Fuck!" I got up & ran to the bathroom so I could get in the shower & get ready. I was prolly gon be late , but I might as well try.

After I got my shit together , I went to get Kamiri ready so I could drop him off at my mama house. This routine is so annoying.. I can't wait till this school year over ..

Once I dropped Kam off , I drove to school & walked inside.

I really just noticed how lonely I am at this school. No besties , no close friends for real.. only person I talk to on the daily is Jadyn. I'm not even complaining though. He is & has always been the realest on my team.

"Ayoo!" I heard a voice call from behind me. I turned around & seen Jadyn joggin towards me. When he finally made it towards me he was sweatin hard asf.

"Hey pooh."
"Wassup lul baby. What you doin tonight?"
"Was tryna spend some time with you. Since my mom is hogging my son for the rest of the week, again."
"Great minds think alike, but it's not just gon be us."
I raised my eyebrow, "who else?"

"I was tryna see if you wanted to chill with Elijah & nem with me. Hang out wit ya old "crew".. I promise it's not gon be too wild."

"Jadyn.."
"I'll make them keep all the alcohol & weed away from you. I promise.."
"I guess, but if it starts to be too much , I'm leaving."
"Bet. Let's go to class." He put his hand out & grabbed mine & we walked to our class.

Ion really know what terms Jadyn & I are on , but I like it fr... nothin too serious just yet.

School went by mad fast & then it was time for the lil "get together" wit some of my old friends. I really wasn't tryna go. Like .. I left all that smoking and shit behind. So , hopefully if they gon do it .. ion fall into the trap , again.

I was sitting on the couch , waiting for Jadyn to text me that he was outside & he finally did.
I grabbed my stuff & went outside to get in his car.

"Hey.."
"Yoo. Why you actin all... nervous? These yo people too."
"Yea , I know. It's not even that.."
"Then what is it ? Let me know.."
"It's just .. I haven't been around this environment on purpose .. in a while & for good reasons & I just don't want to fall back into this shit."
"Look , I already let them know you not tryna do all that extra shit. They coo wit it..aight?"
"Aight.."

"And I ain't tell you befo , but you look good. Almost edible.."
I laughed , "thanks bae."
"Bae?"
"Don't geek ya head up. I call everybody bae at some point."
"Ohhh so im everybody now?"
"Well.."
"You a trip"
I chuckled , "you know where we stand."
"That's the problem, actually."
"Problem?.."
"Yeah Imani. You been sayin that , but I don't know where we stand. I'm not tryna be thinkin we something more than we really are. So tell me wassup?"
"I like you.."
"Aight I like you too. That's basic , tell me sumn else."
"Jadyn ion know.."
"You thinkin too hard bout it."
"I probably am.."
"Then don't. Tell me how you feel."
"I told you. I like you."
"And I told you that's basic. We been passed that stage."
"What else you want me to say?"
"You like me ? Aight bet. What we gon do bout it. Cause I know I wanna be with you , but if we not on the same page .. what's the point ?"
"I wanna be with you too.."
"Deadass?"
"I wanna try again with you.."
"Word?"
"Just .. not right now.."
He raised his eyebrow "Imani- you know what? Coo."
"I'm sorry it's just-"
"It's coo. Whatever for real. Let's go befo they get impatient."

After that , the ride was so awkward..
I would try & make conversation & when I did he just gave me the dry replies like: "I'm weak", "dang" "that's wassup", "thats crazy", "yikes"& "wow"

I knew he was mad. Like ... I feel bad , because he prolly think I'm leadin him on & if I am .. it's not on purpose. I just don't feel like I'm ready.. ion wanna be hurt & I don't wanna hurt Jadyn..

Being cheated on makes you question your worth & ion wanna be a burden towards him. At all .. I'm happy how we are ..

When we showed up to Elijah's crib , he got out the car first & walked in without me.. which was a first. We walked in & sat down by each other after giving everyone a hug & sayin wassup.

"Aight so what's the theme fo tonight?" Jadyn said

Jasmine smiled & pulled out a movie from behind her back "We goin old school & having a movie night. Minus the Netflix. We decided since Imani doesn't want to drink or smoke.. nun of us will. So we having a movie night."

She went behind the couch & pulled out blankets & handed just one to Jadyn & I.
"You ain't got anotha one for me?" He asked
"Uhn uhn. Y'all sharing."

She walked away & turned the lights off & started the movie. This would've been mad cute if Jadyn didn't hate my guts right now.

I looked over at him & he was so focused on ignoring me. I leaned in & whispered into his ear "You can't ignore me forever Jadyn.."

He just smirked & didn't say nun back.
I rolled my eyes & leaned back..

He deadass ignored be the whole time we were there.. it wasn't as t'd as I thought it would be

On the way back home , he still ignored me & I was so irritated with it. We didn't talk until we got to my house.

"Aight Jadyn. You won. What more do you want from me? To kiss ya feet?"
"Nah baby..I just want you to be straight up wit me from da jump."
"I was! I said I liked you.."
"I heard allat. It's just.. I was like 99.9% sure we were on the same page."
"I was too. For real. I just don't wanna hurt you , or myself during the process."
"Hurt me? Ain't no way, but hurting you ? I understand. You need tine to heal from Kendall? That's coo.. for real. I've waited for you for this long , and I can wait a lil bit longer..that's just how much I love you. You worth waitin for Shordy."

"You gon make me tear up, stop ittt. I love you too though. A wholeee lot."
"Glad we on the same page now.."
I smiled , "yea.. me too. Well... I'll see you at school.." I said as I was getting out the car

"Why the night gotta end so soon?" He said with his hand gently rested on my arm.
"What you got in mind ?.."
"Since the group lil movie night didn't go as planned. Since I was being stubborn..how bout we have our own?"
"I like how you think. Come on.."

We got out of the car & walked into my crib. I went upstairs to my room & grabbed a blanket & then came back down to turn on a movie.

Every time I'm around Jadyn I feel all .. weird inside. Like I've known this mf for years & I still get butterflies anytime I'm around him ..
