BLAKE'S POV

"Do you regret meeting me?" Victoria asked looking at me then glancing at the road. I could hear the slightest bit of sadness in her voice.

"I- VICTORIA THE TRUCK."

Everything turned to chaos as Victoria looked back at the road to see a truck coming directly towards us.

The last thing I remember was being surrounded by a purple gas, and soon everything became black.

I could hear conversations happening around me, I tried to open my eyes but it was like someone was keeping them shut.

"I think he is waking up?"

Mom?

Someone grabbed onto my hand, "Wake up sweetie, please." I pried my eyes opened and squinted them due to the blinding light.

"Blake?! Honey, go get the doctor." My mom said looking towards my dad who was smiling down at me. I sat up slowly and looked around taking in my environment.

So I was at the hospital, but I couldn't remember why I was here in the first place. "Mom, why are we here?"

"You don't remember...you were in a car crash." She spoke softly putting her hand gently on my cheek.

I gave her a confused look and shook my head. I was about to disagree with her, but then images of the car ride and Victoria losing control flashed before my eyes.

My heart dropped, where was Victoria?!

"Victoria," I said frantically looking around the room, I pushed away from my mom and tried to get out of the bed.

"Woahh, there Mister. Where do you think you're going?" I looked up at the doctor as he pushed me gently back onto the bed.

"I feel fine, can I go?"

"I'm sure you do, but I have some things to discuss with you."

Sighing I leaned back and sat there with my arms crossed. "Do you remember what happened?"

"Yes, I do."

"Okay," The doctor mumbled nodding his head. "Can you explain the experience to me?"

I nodded my head, "Victoria was driving me home and we were having a conversation. I remember she glanced at me for a split second and suddenly there was a truck right in front of us, after that everything went black."

"Anything else?" He asked writing down things on his clipboard.

"No," I said leaving out the part of purple gas surrounding us in the car. "Wait, why do you need to know these things?"

"Just wanted to make sure you don't have amnesia."

"Oh. Umm Dr...Lake," I trailed glancing at his nametag. "Is Victoria okay?"

"The young lady...yes she is fine. She is waiting outside for you."

A small smile came to my face as I heard that she was alright.

"You two are very lucky to be alive." Dr. Lake continued.

I looked at him and my parents confusedly, "What do you mean 'lucky to be alive'?"

"Your car was completely totaled. In any other instance, you both would have died on impact, but you only have a few scratches."

"A miracle." My dad interrupted putting his hand on my shoulder.
