Chapter 11: Are you dead?

The sound of a gun shot echoed through the air. Blue and red lights came closer and cop cars parked out side the house, there was blood all over the floor. Liam and Calvin stood outside confused and fearful of what happend. Violet was dragged out the of the house aggressively, she kept trying to resist her arrest, she was handcuffed and had blood all over her. Liam's face turned pale. He tried pushing past the the officers telling him he lived there. They told him he cant go in because it's a crime scene area.

"WHAT CRIME, IS KENYA OKAY" Liam said as his voice was breaking and he started crying

A stretcher came out of the house with a body on it. They rushed it into the ambulance and Liam and Calvin ran to it. My body lay there, my face covered with an oxygen mask, my clothes drenched in blood. Liam cried and asked to go with me. Calvin did the same.

"Sorry sir. Only one person" said the paramedic

"Let me go bro and you come with your car so you can drive back" Calvin said

Liam wanted to be the one to go with me but what Calvin said was the most sensible thing to do. Calvin got in the ambulance and it drove off. Liam got in his car and sped to the hospital. He was frantic and crying, thinking about what happened and what could happen.

"FUCK!!!!" Liam said crying. He felt guilty about what just happened. He felt guilty about leading Violet on.

"I'm so fucking stupid. Why did I do this" he said to himself
He arrived at the hospital and rushed in and went to the reception desk
"Kenya. She was just brought in. Kenya Zivanni-Williams" He tried saying through his muffled breath

"Are you a family member?"

"I'm a close friend" Liam said wiping his tears away

"Plesse wait right there sir" the receptionist said as she pointed to a waiting area

Calvin was already sitting there and Liam went to join him. They sat in silence for an hour. The doctor came in and they stood up. Liam couldn't keep still. His legs where shaking and he could only think of the worst possible out come.

"She will be fine gentlemen, just a stab wound In her leg that didnt penetrate too far to cause any serious damage and she has a slight cut on her left arm. The gun shot in her left shoulder didnt go to far into her shoulder blade. Kenya is very lucky and in a few days she'll be out of here. You two can go see her if you want. She's a bit sleepy but shes still awake."said the doctor

"Thanks doc" Liam said as he rushed into my room. Calvin followed.

Liam walked to my bed and held my hand tight

"I'm so sorry I wasn't with you Kenya" he said as his voice began breaking. Calvin came and stood next to my bed and also started crying. I wanted to say something, tell them that it's okay, but moving hurt and my anaesthetic was getting strong.

I could feel that I was dozing off. I heard Liam and Calvin's voices calling my name frantically and after that all I saw was darkness

I woke up. The sun was shining through the blinds. I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. The one in my leg was barely there anymore. I looked to my side and saw Liam sleeping on a chair and Calvin on the couch. I managed to smile. It was warming to know they spent the night. They looked so tired. A nurse came in and brought me food and pills. As the nurse was telling me which pills do what, Liam and Calvin woke up.

"You're awake" Calvin said sounding overjoyed

"You look like shit" Liam said to me as he smiled

I smiled and took my pills
"You two dont look any better" I replied

"How do you feel?" Calvin asked

"I feel great" I said lying, trying to avoid talking about what happened. I just wasnt ready

"She's not lying, she doing great, you'll be out of here by tomorrow sweetheart. You have your two brothers to look ater you so we can let yo u out." the nurse said as she took her files and left.

"I'm going down to the Café, you want anything" Calvin asked

"I'm good" I said

"Can I get a coffee?" Liam asked
Calvin left and Liam stood there awkwardly

"Dont feel bad Liam, it's not your fault" I said seeing he wanted to talk

"Yes it is, you texted me so many times. I'm the one who broke up with her and that lead her to do what she did. I started dating her in the 1st place when I didnt even need to do that" Liam said

"Its not your fault Liam. Violet is psycho, that cant be put on you. I'm okay anyway so let's move on. Violets going to be put away for a long time. We'll get through this" I said

"We?" Liam asked as he smiled and looked at me

"Yeah...me and you" I said and smiled back

Calvin came back and we all sat together and played some stupid games. We joked about Liam dating Violet. Laughing about it made it less traumatic. The nurse came in and announced that visiting hours where over. Liam and Calvin left promising that they would be here early tomorrow to Come pick me up. I got my laptop and did some school work online then went to bed.
