MY POV
I wait a few hours, and the nurse finally comes back in with Stephen.
"We're back" she said.
I had been up for a while, but Spencer had been sleeping since we got here.
He really didn't get too much sleep these last few months, so I hadn't worried about it or woke him up for that reason.
As the nurse came in as quietly as she could, she put Stephen near me like they usually do at the hospitals.
She pulled him out, and put him on me for the skin to skin moment.
As it happened, Spencer woke up.
I smiled as I saw him smile from the corner of my eye
He walked up toward the hospital bed, and then sat down in the chair
Spencer couldn't stop smiling from the looks of it
"So precious" Spencer said.
I just kept looking at Stephen, but once Spencer said that I looked up at him just to see that smile of his.
He got up from the chair for a minute, then kissed me
"Would you mind if I had a turn holding him?" Spencer asked.
"Of course not. You don't need to ask Spencer, you're his dad" I chuckled as I handed Stephen over
He already knew how to old a baby because a long time ago he had to help a woman give birth.
So I wasn't worried about if he knew about holding him correctly.
