Day 52

Yeji slowly feel give up to live. She did everything to move herself and wake up again. But nothing change. She felt weak. She felt trapped in a lonely world where she can't do anything. She barely heard or talk to anyone who visit her.

Everytime she woke up, it's just her world. No one can hear her. No one can help her. She felt helpless, hopeless.

She stopped counting the days, she stopped remembering everyone's name. She even stopped remembering about herself. She only know her name is Yeji.

But every time she did, there's a boy non-stop talking to her. Making her feel like being accompany. He's the only one she remembered. But he never tell her his name, not even once. Everytime she heard him, she'll remember that he's like an angel. So she called him angel, Yeji's angel.

Yeji swore to herself that even if she'll die, the last thing she'll remember is him.

Yeji always thought that she's slowly dying. Even now she's not strong enough to wake up. But she'll wake up if she heard her angel's voice.

"Yeji, today we had a student council selection. The kids are being unreasonable. Why would they name me as one of the head? This school will be ruined".

That's one of the stories he told her. He always told her about the school.

"They will held an art competition next month. It's so sad that you can't join. You'll probably won again".

"There'll be sport day 2 months from now. Let me ask you, what do sprinters eat before a race?".

Even if Yeji can talk, she would never can answer them because she doesn't know!

"Nothing! Because they fast!".

His giggles are like a music to her. Sometimes he would talk to her in tiny voice. Which is so cute. If she can laugh, she'll laugh out loud at every dad jokes he gave. They're absurd but hilarious.

"Yeji, why actors tell each other to 'break a leg'?".

"Because every play has a cast!".

Yeji doesn't know how many times he make his dad jokes. She lost count on it.

'You're the only reason I'm still strong to live'

"Why don't eggs tell jokes? Because they'd crack each other up!", Yeonjun laughed at his own joke. Even though he knows that Yeji would never react, he'll do it for her.

"Yeji's condition is getting better everyday", he heard a doctor talked to Minhyun yesterday. He will never give up. It's nearly 2 months Yeji stay unconscious but Yeonjun believe, until she let out her last breath, there'll always hope.

He stared at her face. How he missed seing her eyesmile. He always seen them from afar, but now he just beside her, but she's still in her deep sleep.

As for now, he never missed visiting her everyday. He would change the flowers to keep the fresh air in her room.

"Can you promise me?", Yeonjun held her hand and intertwined it with his. "That I'm the first one you'll see once you wake up".

'Stupid of me', he thought to himself. It's not like Yeji would nlever answer him.

"I promise. That I'll come here every single day. And I'll never leave you alone".

Yeonjun walked alone to his house. He can't walk properly since he hasn't eaten since yesterday. He was too late for breakfast and too busy for lunch. He also hurriedly went to the hospital before Minhyun arrived.

Everytime he walked through that place, it's just like a nightmare. Everything keep repeating in his head, and a voice telling him that it's all his fault.

He keep walking without realizing that he almost reach the main road.

A few seconds later he heard a sound.

Minhyun throw his bag on the sofa. The house is hella messy since Yeji got warded. Although he's the type to take care of the hygiene, he's not in the right mind to do so. He always stressed out after went back from work, drink some alcohol, and woke up dizzy in the next morning.

While he's resting on his sofa, he remembered that he just kicked Yeonjun out from Yeji's room at hospital. He never blame Yeonjun but he just feel like Yeonjun bring all the bad luck to his sister. That's why he try to keep Yeji away from him.

Minhyun decided to talk directly to him. He took his phone and began typing.

The message already sent but Yeonjun still hasn't read it. "Whatever". He took off his neck tie and walked to the bathroom.

Beomgyu and Ryujin just arrived to their house from the extra class. They're way too tired for dinner so they didn't join the rest. Beomgyu went straight to his room and lay down on his bed.

When he's about to close his eyes, his phone rang. When looked at the contact name, it's Yeonjun. He whined before pick it up.

"What do you want?"

"Mr. Choi Beomgyu?".

Rather than Yeonjun, it's a stranger voice.

"Yes that's me. Who is this? Why are you using my friend's phone?"

"So Mr. Yeonjun is really your friend. So he's unconscious now. Can you come to his house?"

"What?!"
