I stood up and made my way to the centre of the room. Suddenly I let out the loudest scream I could. I have to admit, it would put even a banshee to shame. Everyone dropped and clutched their ears with theirs hands.

I drew all the electricity I could to the surface and forced it out, effectively cutting off any camera feed.

Then, I picked up the guns with my telekinesis and shot out a wave of seismokinesis, crushing all the guns inwards. Just try to shoot me now!

I sprinted my way though the corridors to Barkers officer. It was bolted shut by now and they had turned the alarm system on.

"You think that's going to stop me," I screamed over the blaring sound. I held my palm over the door and forced another wave of seismokinesis into the metal. It blew off the hinges and hit the floor across the room.

Looking around I saw Barker in the corner, cringing like the coward he was. I laughed sinisterly and walks over. I curled my lip in disgust.

"If your group even tries to find me, I will hunt down your family and kill them in the worst ways possible," I growled at him. He shook where he sat and nodded his head.

"Good," I shoved him to his desk. "Now write that in a note that you won't allow them to come for me. Otherwise, your family will die with you."

He quickly wrote down not to go after me and how that was an order. He signed it with his signature. When I was happy I willed my ice powers. I formed an icicle and smiled maliciously when he looked at me.

"Bye bye, Barker," and with that, I shot the icicle though his heart. He fell back and landed on the floor. I gave him one last look before I used my super speed to find my way to the exit. When I got there I melted the doors down. Outside I saw thick forest and lush grass. Something I hadn't seen in over a year. I grinned and took a step outside. I froze a wall of ice several feet thick behind me and sprinted into the trees until I could hear the siren of the alarm no more.

A while ago I slowed down to a fast jog because I was pretty sure that I was miles away from that dreaded building. I nearly cried when I saw the first signs of humanity. A road.

I ran up to it and waited a bit for any cars. When none came I decided to go north of where I was running from.

It felt like this road was five thousand miles long. That was until I saw a car. I jumped up and down and waved my arms like a mad woman. Hopefully they would believe the story that I got lost when my car broke down.

The car pulled over and I mentally fist bumped. Time to look tired.

I hunched over and breathed like I ran a mile, which I did but my advanced endurance made it feel like a few hundred meters.

"Thanks... For pulling.... Over," I said between fake breaths. The person got out of their car. It was a middle aged woman with brown hair in a tight bun. She looked stressed. She had on a skirt and a blazer. Maybe a banker?

"Are you okay? What happened to you?" Oh lady, if only you knew.

"My car broke down... And I tried to walk back... But got lost... Where am I?" I hoped that the fake tired act was working.

"Oh sweetie, I'm sorry about your car. Your in the outskirts of Windsor. Do you need a ride somewhere?" Another mental fist pump.

"That would be great thank you! Could you take me into Windsor, that way I could pick a ride up at the bus station," I asked hoping that she would say yes.

"Oh why certainly, it's the least I can do. Do you need money for the trip?"

I patted around my clothes as if I was looking for something.

"No! I must of lost my wallet in the forest! Some money would be great. Thank you so much! You're so kind!" I looked saddened at the loss of my "wallet" but went to give the woman a hug. I missed people who were genuinely nice.

"Oh honey, don't worry. I'll get you there no problem. Here, come get in the car," she opened the passenger door and I climbed inside.
-------
"Thanks again Marie! I could never repay you for this!" I hugged her before she left me.

"Oh dear, that's okay. I'm just sorry you had to leave your car. Hopefully you can find it," she handed me fifty dollars. I can only pray that this gets me to Toronto.

I waved at her from my window seat as the greyhound bus drove off. Man, even though I'd just met her, she was so awesome.

I ended up getting two seats all to myself so I sprawled across both of them trying to fall asleep. Eventually, darkness came and with it a pleasant feeling of freedom.
