Again, new semester has been crappy. I will give you double updates for my lateness!
-------
I jumped up with inhuman speed and strained my hearing to impossible levels. I could hear a slight tick-tock of what sounded like a bomb.

"Get upstairs. Now," I didn't look at Austin when I told him. He got to his feet but didn't do as I told him.

"Why? What's wrong?" I nearly slapped him. Why can't anyone just listen to anything I say?!

"GO!" I yelled and pointed to the stairs. The pictures on a nearby wall shook with the force of my voice. Sometimes I had a hard time controlling the sonokinesis. This time he reluctantly went and I bolted to where the sound was coming from.

Throwing open the back door I could see a small black package with flashing numbers on it, sitting on the top step looking like a mailed gift. I was surprised there wasn't a bow on it.

My world froze and I stared at the explosive like it was something from another world. It beeped again and I snapped out of my trance.

I went over the possible ways that I could get rid of it in my head. I looked at my hands frantically like they held the answer. This was a bomb, and I have no idea on what the heck I should do.

I cursed loudly and looked into my backyard. It was empty and there was nothing around. There wasn't a fence so the facility would have no problem on getting a bomb on my door step. I knew it came from them because one, who else knows where to get a bomb? and second, who in their right mind would someone try to blow up my house?

I closed my eyes and willed my hands to freeze. When they did I opened my eyes and turned my opened palms to the bomb.

I fired a continuous stream of sharpened icicles into the bomb and it smoked. No explosion.

I cheered like I won the lottery and fist pumped the air multiple times. I could hear faint footsteps from inside the house.

"I'm guessing that it's okay for me to come out," Austin said from the bottom of the stairs. I cheered again and he took that as a yes.

"Whoa! Is that what I think it is?" His eyes were bugging out of his head as he gaped at the smoking explosive.

"Yeah. It's a bomb, and guess who destroyed it!" I whooped and held my hand up in a high five. He limply lifted his arm and smacked my hand, his eyes still trained on the bomb.

"I'm correct when I assume that the people who took you did this?"

"Yes. They want to get to me," I screamed this next part to the back of my property, "AND THEY'RE NOT GOING TO SCARE ME!" Austin flinched when a branch cracked on the closest tree. Birds cawed and flew away.

"How are you taking this so lightly? They nearly blew up your house and all you can do is cheer and yell at an empty field?" He seemed like he was out of his trance because his voice was showing some emotion.

"I know that they're just trying to freak me out. They know that if they even try to come near me, I'll get rid of them faster then they can shoot me," I was growling at the dying stalks of the wheat field behind my house. "They would be dumb to try and kidnap me again."

"... I still don't see how you can be so calm. There's a smoking C4 sitting on the floor in front of us," he shrugged and shoved his hands into his pockets. He was staring at the field while I was glaring. I knew they could probably see me right now, but I didn't care.

"Austin. They're most likely watching me right now. They know that you know about me so they could see you as a threat. I need you to be on close watch of anything suspicious and call me if you see anything you don't feel is right," I spoke in a hushed voice as I continued to scan the field, looking as if I wasn't talking to him. He nodded slightly in agreement.

I think I'd scared him but he needed to know that these people meant business. They did just try to blow me up - not that they could kill me that easily- and I was pretty sure they wouldn't stop there.

"I'm going to check the field. Stay close to me. Don't get shot," again, I made it look like I wasn't talking in the subtlest way possible. I jumped down the steps and stalked towards the chopped down corn, a determined expression on my face. I was going to find whoever tried to blow me up.

You messed with the wrong experiment...
