Damian:

I drove all night and day, I'm sure no one noticed I was even gone.

I hadn't really made any friends in Texas, only people who pretended to care about me.

Back in California I actually had people who cared about me, my father of course being number one.

My mom had been killed when I was a young pup and no one liked to talk about it.

As soon as I entered Blackwoods Territory around midday the next day I felt a change, my wolf feeling at home.
"Nice to have you back son, but I wasn't expecting you for another few days." My father Steven, linked.

"We'll discuss that when I get to the pack house, I'm not far away."
"I'll see you here then." He said before I closed my mind off.

Twenty minutes later I made it to the three story building we called the pack house. It curved into a semi circle, the house a bright white with blue shuttters, a huge garden out front with a lake to the side.

Most unmated wolves lived at the pack house, the Alpha and Luna lived on the top floor with their own kitchen and living room along with numerous rooms.

The second belonged to the Beta and his family, and finally the bottom to all the unmated wolves who wished to live in the pack house.

I on the other hand had moved out when I was sixteen, my house wasn't that far from the pack house.

The Blackwoods Pack was one of the most influential and powerful packs in the United states.  Our number in people was double that of the Moonlight Pack which consisted of almost 1,500 people.

My father ruled with a tight rein but his people loved him.

Unfortunately we had a lot of enemies due to the way he ruled, once in a while he would invade smaller packs who had an incompetent Alpha and integrate them into our pack.

Of course that made many enemies along the way.

As soon as I walked out of my car, slim arms wrapped around me.

"I missed you like crazy!" I winced slightly as she screamed in my ear.

I pulled away with a smirk as I looked down at my best friend, and beta Lindsey Demarco.

It was rare when the Beta of a pack was a female, but the Demarcos were never able to conceive a boy.

Lindsey stood at 5'7, her green eyes sparkling with glee and her wavy dirty blonde hair reaching her tiny waist. She may look all innocent and weak but she could kick the ass of even my best fighters.

Not that they will ever admit that.

Being a female she had to prove herself to everyone.

"I missed you too Lindsey. "

"Oh no!" Lindsey ran to my black Mercedes Benz and touched the door "What happened to your car?"
"It's a long story." I sighed "one I'll tell you when I've had a long bath and nap."

  Lindsey nodded in understanding.
"Alright if you need me or your dad we'll be in his study."

I nodded then got back in my car and drove to my house, not that far away. My house was a small two story, white green shutters. I had a porch with a green porch swing, a small stream ran near my house where sometimes I liked to fish, in wolf form and human form.
