Chapter 22: On Dates and Cuddles

Flynn's PoV

It's already been a month since Duke and I decided to make everything real.

We've been a bit more open in expressing what we feel kahit na parang katulad lang din ng dati ang trato namin sa isa't isa. Sweet moments were always present whenever we are together.

In Duke's own little ways, we get to spend our time together through dates and small cuddles inside the house. It's a bit awkward at first because the progress of our relationship is still new to us, pero mabilis rin naman kaming naging komportable sa isa't isa.

I remember one time, we had another movie marathon in his room and we were extra cuddly. He was holding me the whole time we were watching movies. And that memory is still engraved in my mind up to this moment.

Napakagat ako sa labi nang maalala ko na naman ito. That moment was about two weeks ago. We had the house for ourselves pagkatapos naming maihatid si Mom Louisa sa bahay niya dahil tapos na ang stay niya.

Hindi ko naman mapigilang mapangiti dahil sa naging sitwasyon namin ni Duke after that. Having the house for ourselves that time might mean that I will go back to my original room dahil wala na ang mom niya sa bahay.

But I didn't.

Duke insisted that I stay in his room since our relationship has developed. It wasn't a contract relationship anymore. This time, it's the real deal.

We had more time for each other as soon as we shared the same room. We get cuddly before going to sleep, and sweeter as soon as we wake up. It's like a dream come true.

"C'mon. The car's ready, Love."

I looked at the guy who is wearing his casual polo that masks his cold look. He stood at the door while waiting for me to go out. I gave him a warm smile before standing up and going to the car.

Yes, another off day for me, means another date day for us. And I don't think I'll get tired of it any sooner.

Sumakay na ako sa kotse at saka tumingin kay Duke at ngumiti. He did the same and leaned towards me. Automatic akong napasandal sa upuan at napapikit dahil sa ginawa niya out of shock.

The heck? Is he going to kiss me?

A few more seconds passed pero pakiramdam ko ay hindi pa rin umaalis sa harapan ko si Duke. I opened my eyes only to be taken aback because of the sight that I saw.

Duke was only a few inches away from me staring deep into my eyes. Nanlaki naman ang mata ko at naramdaman ang pag-iinit ng aking mga pisngi. Geez, kahit matagal na kaming ganito, hindi pa rin talaga ako sanay.

Bahagya namang napangiti si Duke bago tumingala at inayos ang seatbelt ko. Nanatili naman akong tuod sa pwesto ko habang ginagawa niya 'yon.

Before he moved away from me, he gave me a small kiss on the forehead, na siyang nagpa-balik sa akin sa ulirat. And when he got back on his seat, he chuckled for a bit then looked at me.

"Silly girl."

Napanguso naman ako dahil doon at ibinalik na ang tingin sa harap. Malay ko ba kasing ipag-aayos niya ako ng seatbelt. Hindi niya naman sinabi, eh. Bigla na lang siyang lumalapit. Ayan tuloy, kung anu-ano ang naisip ko.

Duke looked up front and buckled his seatbelt, then gave me a small glance before starting his car.

Anyway, iniisip ko pa rin kung ano ang gagawin namin ngayong araw. Duke never mentioned where we'd go for our date today. Ang tanging sinabi niya lang sa akin ay magde-date kami sa labas. Nothing more, nothing less.
