CHAPTER 17

"Lucy!"

"N-Natsu?" she widened her eyes as she sees the salmon hair mage was falling from the sky, flying to be exact.

The pinkette fly towards her in a flash and pull her into an embrace, he missed her like she missed him. They never felt so alive since the last time they feel each other warmth, Lucy hugs Natsu back and he tightens his grip, don't want to let her go.

Natsu pulls back and caress her cheek softly, "Are you hurt?"

Lucy instantly held his big dragon claws and shook her head, "What happened to you Natsu?"

"Don't worry, this is my fire dragon's form." He said and look to her feet, "Luce, your wounds."

"I am really fine, just not be able to walk for a moment," she chuckles and when Natsu was about to say something important to her, a familiar voice echoes in his head.

'How embarrass I am, looking like this in front of Natsu.'

The dragon slayer blinks and look at the blonde who was looking at the ground, "Uh... Luce did you say something earlier?"

Her brown eyes look at his and she tilted her head, "No, why?"

"That's weird," he mutters lowly.

'How I miss Mira's cooking and my comfy bed.'

Once again Lucy's voice echoes in Natsu's head but it was not directly from her, it was her mind. The pinkette look at her sternly and steady his position to look at her, "Lucy."

"Yeah?"

They both were staring for few seconds and Lucy's couldn't help but to blushes, their faces are so close to each other, 'Whaa my face must be red like a tomato right now!'

The dragon slayer thought for a while and an idea come up in his head as he smirks, "Come on Lucy, let's go back to the guild."

"Sure!" Lucy was caught off her sight when she saw the red scarf around Natsu's collar.

"That's—"

Natsu looked down and grins, "Oh this? It was from you right? Happy gave this to me when you're kidnapped, thank you Lucy! I like the colour!"

"Oh, yeah your welcome and uh... the letter?"

"Letter? What letter?" Natsu cocked his head to the side, innocently pretends didn't know.

"Uh... Never mind." She mumbled. 'He didn't get the letter? But I am sure I put it in along with the paper bag...'

Natsu quietly looks at her and ruffled her blonde hair, "Let's go home."

Happy and the other dragon slayers are back at the guild since Natsu fly off to the skies to rescued Lucy, the blue cat was in Mirajane arms as he cries, "Happy, their going to be alright. Agnor is already captured."

The other guilds members wait impatient as now it's almost night, but there was still no sign of Natsu and Lucy, but then all of them in the hall sense a great magic power, they could tell it was the fire dragon's slayer magic.

Natsu flew to the guildhall with Lucy in his arms as all the guild members look at them shocked, they were more shocked because of Natsu's dragon form rather than Lucy was finally returned.

"I am back," said Lucy as she was still in Natsu's arms.

All their friends run towards her and cries, Happy who was crying all the time couldn't help but jump to her blonde friend. "Lushiiii, I missed you! I am so sorry for not going with you that day!"

Lucy hugs the blue cat, "It's okay Happy, besides I am back now!"

"Aye!"

"Oi Flame Brain, how long are you going to carry her like that?" asked Gray, stood beside him.

Wendy gasps, "Lucy-san your feet!"

"I think I won't be able to walk for a while," the celestial mages chuckles, and Wendy quickly put her spell at the injuries that was fatal in her feet with her healing magic.

"Heh, I thought you carry her like that because you've been clingy too much on Lucy," Gray smirks, while nudging the pinkette's shoulder.

Suddenly the whole guild went quite and then Mira squeals, "Oh my gosh don't tell me you guys already conf—"

"Alright, Lucy needs some rest." Natsu interrupts Mira and he walks to the infirmary with still Lucy in his arms.

Mira pouted at the back as they were all looking at the blonde and pinkette went to the infirmary room in silence.

Natsu was enjoying this, being able to hear Lucy's mind on his own, it's not bad right?
