Hyun Ae twirled in her room, joy fluttering her heart after what seemed like days. No, it wasn't her birthday. Even if it would have been, she highly doubts that her friends would remember it now. At first, it was only Yeonjun and Kai, but now it seemed like Taehyun had joined them too. The three used to be aloof to god knows where and make stupid excuses to her as if she was stupid enough to believe them. She was actually smart enough to know they are lying and pretend like she believed them.
"You should not stop asking them. They are your friends..." the angel part of her always told her but then the devil part of her came to the rescue. "Ah forget it girl. If they don't care enough about hurting you, then why should you? Let them be."
And she just made a mental note that since they are growing up, they simply wanted to have boys time only and not include her in everything. Perhaps they were drifting apart... And it saddened her to just think about it, but nothing could be done if they were tired of her.
For now she pushed those thoughts in the back of her head as she gleefully looked outside the window. Beomgyu walked over to her house wearing a black T with a thin silver chain hanging around his neck. It wasn't new, as he used to wear it quite a few times but it sure made him look very cute. He wore black jeans matched with his outfit as he lightly jogged towards her front door.

She rushed down the stairs and to her front door hearing her mom cry out from the kitchen, "Don't run down the stairs like that!" but she could care less about it. Even before Beomgyu could ring the doorbell, she opened the door to reveal a very surprised Beomgyu who let out a chuckle the next second. "Choi Hyun Ae, excited much?" he said while raising an eyebrow.
Hyun Ae grinned like a child and nodded her head humming as an answer. "You can't blame me! It's Amusement Park Day!" she exclaimed, just 1% excitement away from jumping with joy.
Beomgyu couldn't help but laugh at her happiness and nodded. "Lets go then you big baby." he said before pulling her hand and starting to walk away already. She quickly bid her mom bye and skidding past Beomgyu. At least Beomgyu was a good friend who didn't leave her side. Whenever she used to feel too low, they used to go to the Amusement Park since it was her favorite ever since she was a child. It always lifted up her mood. Just the thoughts of all the various rides and delicious candies and snacks was enough to make her feel all giddy and Beomgyu exactly knew what could make her become jolly again.
He also found it amusing for himself. They both could take a break from the three who were acting like their system got technical difficulties. They could spare a day for themselves. Like today.
"I've set some New Rules." murmered Hyun Ae linking her arm with Beomgyu's. To anyone walking on the street, they'd appear to be a cute couple.
"New Rules?" he asked curiously.
"Yep. Those three can go and do whatever they want. If they want to give us the cold shoulder, then we can too." continued the girl with a small pout forming in her lips. "Rule 1, we enjoy ourselves without them. Rule 2, we ignore them. Rule 3, we forgive them if they come back to us but not before putting up a little show. Rule 4, we'll have fun without them. And Rule 5, you won't ever leave me like them." she announced.
He laughed at that as he ruffled her hair. "So you're letting your inner child speak for yourself?" he asked only to recieve a glare from the girl walking alongside him.

"But I want cotton candy!!!" Hyun Ae whined like a kid stomping her foot as she crossed her arms. Beomgyu clicked his tongue as he had a total done look on his face. It was almost the closing time of the amusement park. They had spent over 4 hours in there, taken almost every ride and snack the place had to offer and just before walking out the girl had to have a craving for cotton candy.
"But the shops are closed!" Beomgyu reasoned. If he weren't have been so full he might as well would've gone and searched for a store but he was full and satisfied and in no mood to explore. Not even for his cute pain in the butt childhood friend.
"Hmph!" Hyun Ae said frustratedly showing him the biggest pout ever and started walking out of the place to god knows where.
"Yah! Where are you going!?" Beomgyu ran after her knowing pretty well she can't be left alone to die.
"To die." said the girl flatly. Ah, he was so correct.
"Oh then let me accompany you." the boy said with a little chuckle and accompanied her throwing his arm around her shoulders.
The streets were dark and the lamps were still not on. Probably they weren't working. Since the amusement park was more at the desolate part of the city for more area, the place was kind of deserted.
"So are you not going to talk to me?" Beomgyu asked narrowing his eyes at her. "What about the new rules we see? We're gonna have fun together and not to leave each other like they did to us—" he was cut off by her speaking with a shaky voice.
"I'm s-scared." she said softly.
"Huh?" Beomgyu looked over at her to see her lip trembling as her head lowered down with her bangs covering her eyes. He blinked but couldn't really understand what to say. So he just wrapped his arms around the girl's petite body and hugged her tightly. Caressing her hair he tried to shush her for he knew she was crying.
"Why did they do this?" she mumbled out as her own arms found their way around his torso. "Why is Yeonjun doing this?" She weeped to which Beomgyu could do nothing but hold her tighter as she cried in his arms.
They both were hurting because of the aloofness of the other three but she was hurting more. She had a heart of a child and when Yeonjun decided to go ahead and act up like trash in front of her she lost it.
"Hey shush! What about our new rules you made huh? You gotta be strong!" Beomgyu said sportingly as he rubbed her tears away and she sniffled nodding her head.
"Look i dont know why they are doing this... I just know that... That," he wanted to say that everything would go back to normal but he just couldn't bring himself up to say this. "That we gotta be happy and follow our new rules." He said instead.
Hyun Ae blinked and pursed her lips. "You're right... Lets just go home." She said softly.
"Uhh... I was thinking, you know i think i know a good store which might be open and selling candies. Let's get you your cotton candy from there." Said Beomgyu with a chuckle and ruffled her hair.
Hyun Ae turned to him with a smile as she nodded her head following him around as the two headed towards the 'place'.
At that moment, she could only think of one thing in her head.
