Scarlett...
"Hold on. Hold the phone. We all died fighting this thing the first time around. Remember?" Klaus said. I could feel him moving uncomfortably under me. I switched my seating so instead of him I was now sitting up on the bar table.
"Klaus, shockingly, has a point. What gives us a win this time?" Diego asked. Just now I noticed he has his arm in a sling. It must be from the shooting that was yesterday. As I was sitting on the bar table suddenly a flash of blue light was seen and a crashing sound from behind me made me jump and land on Klaus sending us both to the ground.
"What the fuck," I groaned lifting myself from the ground, well, Klaus technically. We both stood up groaning a little as we did. We looked at the direction of the table and saw Five there.
"You guys, am I still high, or do you see him, too?" Klaus asked staring at the table where Five was clutching a briefcase.
"Five, where have you been?" Luther asked concerned.
"Are you all right?"
"Who did this?" All the questions were ignored by the boy as he grabbed the coffee cup from Allison's hand.
"Irrelevant," He gulped the whole cup down, throwing the cup away and then looked at me. I was still looking at him wide-eyed not understanding what just happened. He walked over to me and kissed me without any warning. Before I could even kiss back or react in some way he pulled away and walked towards the couch to stand there.
"So, the apocalypse is in three days. The only chance we have to save our world is, well, us." Five said looking at all of us. Suddenly I feel like I am being rushed into this too much. What if I don't want to take part in this?
"The Umbrella Academy."
"Yeah, but with me, obviously." I rolled my eyes.
"Talk about being self-centered," I mumbled making Klaus chuckle and the others send us a glare.
"So if y'all don't get your sideshow acts together and get over yourselves, we're screwed." I lifted my hand up asking for word.
"What if I don't want to take part in this? Like we die one way or another so what's the point?" I asked.
"Exactly we die one way or another so if there's a chance of living longer we should take it," Five said looking directly at me as if pleading me to give it a chance. I mean they won't need me anyway so I guess I can just say that I am in. I nodded letting Five continue. "Who cares if Dad messed us up? Are we gonna let that define us? No. And to give us a fighting chance to see next week, I've come back with a lead." He said pulling out a piece of paper from his blazer. He handed it to Allison who opened it. "I know who's responsible for the apocalypse. This is who we have to stop." Harold Jenkins?
"Who is this guy?" I asked staring at the paper.
"Harold Jenkins?"
"Who the hell is Harold Jenkins?" Diego asked. We all looked at Five and he just took a sip from his drink. He doesn't know.
"I don't know... yet. But I do know that he's responsible for the apocalypse. So we have to find him. And we have to do it now." I frowned at his words. How do we want to find someone if we don't even know who it is? I mean there can be thousands of these Jenkins folks?
"How is he connected to what's gonna happen?" Luther asked making Five frown.
"I don't know."
"Wait, so you just know his name? That's it?" Diego voiced the question that has been nagging in everyone's brain.
"That's enough."
