mingyu had been spending his time, away from wonwoo, as he continuously spammed his games, getting ready for his debut

wonwoo didn't mind, he helped out around his father's store, learning lots of new things about running a business

on days like these, wonwoo would miss mingyu, they hadn't been seeing each other, they used to go out everyday, to occasionally, and now, never. mingyu had dropped out of school in order to have more time

wonwoo may or may have not regretted his decision of making mingyu choose his career over him, but still, he wanted mingyu to have a set future instead of wasting time on a love which is unsure

it wasn't that wonwoo didn't love mingyu anymore, it was just that mingyu no longer would give him attention, maybe some nights where mingyu would pick up his phone and text wonwoo, but the conversations never last long until mingyu passes out from all the training he had gotten that day

he sat on the edge of his window, picking up his phone, he asked what mingyu was doing, and of course, mingyu had seen the message, typed and then stopped. wonwoo sighed, he admit, that it was kind of dreading to talk to mingyu

on the other hand, mingyu did understand that there would be difficulties in relationships, and they're there to test the couple, or that was what mingyu thought. though he loved the boy, he had started to think that he was slowly getting annoyed by the amount of messages wonwoo would send

it wasn't that he fell out of love with him, he still loved him, he just didn't feel the need to do so. after he had finished his last game of the day, he saw three new messages

frustrated, he decided to call wonwoo instead, which was picked up on the first ring

"gyugyu!" wonwoo exclaimed excitedly as he lifted himself off the window

"what is it?" mingyu asked sternly as he waited impatiently

"i just missed you,, we haven't been able to see each other for so long and-" wonwoo said quickly as he twirled around in his room

"is that it? i miss you too, go get some sleep okay?"  mingyu spoke in a more approaching tone

silence was heard from the other end of the call and mingyu was about to end the call, but halted as soon as he heard sniffles from the other end

"wonwoo? are you okay?"

"what do you mean mingyu? you act as if i don't mean anything yo you anymore, you push me away, you prioritize games more than me, mingyu, all i want is to talk, and yet, you talk as if you want to get off the phone. if you fell out of love with me, just tell me already!" wonwoo burst

"you were the one who told me to choose my career over you, i did and now you're saying i don't give you enough attention? what do you want?" mingyu shot back

"this is not what i meant mingyu! you could've prioritized your games and still squeeze in some time for us" wonwoo breathed heavily after he finished, trying his best to calm down

"that's what i've been doing this whole time,," wonwoo added as his voice broke again

"you could've told me earlier instead of having us to argue like this, couldn't you?" mingyu asked in a stern tone

"that was what i was trying to do all along! but you didn't even had the time to look at my messages!"

"you could've tried reaching out to me, like a call? or show up outside my house?" mingyu had all the excuses to be shot back

"have you even seen the number of missed calls on your phone? i call you everyday! right when i wake up and before i go to sleep, i worry because i don't know what could happen to you!" wonwoo lost it.

"and why couldn't you show up at my house?" mingyu retorted

"that's because i didn't want people passing by to look at me like an idiot waiting for someone who isn't even home for the entire day! what for? embarrassment?" wonwoo cried

"you know what?"

"fuck you kim mingyu"
