"Is that your boyfriend?"

"What? No!"

Itinaas ni Lourd ang kilay niya sa akin at sinundan ng tingin si Mariel at Jomar sa malayo.

"Then why did he kissed you?"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya. We what?!

"Hindi niya ako hinalikan!"

"I saw it! Dyaan sa pader!"

"We did not! Bakit ko naman hahalikan si Jomar?!"

"That's why I'm asking."

Nasapo ko ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. He won't believe me. Iniwan ko siyang nakatayo roon at nagkusang binuksan ang pinto ng kotse niya sa likod kahit na hirap na hirap ako sa aking suot. Hinabol niya ako at tinulungang maka akyat dahil sa damit ko. Nagwawala ang telepono niya sa kaka ring at hindi pinapansin ito.

"Ako na!"

He groaned at my reaction at sumakay sa driver's seat.

Why the hell I would kiss Jomar? He's a friend!

"Yes?...yeah. I saw her bidding her goodbye with her man through a kiss."

"Ano!?"

Sino ba ang kausap niya at sinisiraan niya pa talaga ako sa iba. This man! Nanginginig ang mga mata ko sa inis at wala ng paki alam kung sino man ang kausap niya.

"Hindi niya ako hinalikan! Walang nangyaring ganun!"

He didn't react to my rage at nagpatuloy sa kausap.

I gritted my teeth and think about how much I don't want to go to hell and stopped myself from killing someone.

Ate Celest reached for an embrace when she told me that. Naluluha ako ng yakapin siya, she's been good to me ever since I stayed here. Kahit sino ay papangarapin siyang maging kapatid. I glanced at Ma'am Mira and Sir Constantine looking so proud while staring at our little emotional moment. Hindi ko tuloy maiwang makaramdam ng pinaghalong saya at lungkot, it feels like goodbye. I'm leaving this place eventually, my heart is tied up here. They are my second family.

I can't count the dozens of people, each exporting an expensive looking clothing. The moon serves as the source of light in the darkness, the dainty fairy lights are like thousand of stars in the dark atmosphere. Everybody clapped at my entourage, while I'm being escorted by Lourd. A subtle melody can be heard everywhere, all eyes are on me like I'm the only one who matters. The faces are unfamiliar, aside from my friends, teachers and maids in the house, they're all unfamiliar.

"Mabuti at nakadalo kayo."

Oli's girlfriend looks well off. Bilugan ang mga mata nito at maamo ang mukha. I smiled at her and she exchange hers too. Oli looked Constipated the whole time we talked. Tanging si Chloe lamang ang nakaka usap ko. Mukhang hindi rin naman kami makakapag usap ng maayos.

Buong gabi ay nahahati ang puso ko sa puwang na nararamdaman. All the greetings and gifts I received tonight evanesce each of time, like everything that I want was here but my heart's needs are so far away. The crowd feels suffocating, the food tastes dull, the merry faces of people doesn't help my disconsolated feelings. The night was cold and dry.
