= Camilla =

I gaped in recognition. "It's you!"

The man chuckled, humored by my reaction.

"Yes. I'm that man," he paused and squinted at me playfully. "We're talking about the same man right?"

I couldn't help but grin from his terrible use of humor.

"Well, I believe we are. Unless you have another man in mind," I said, which made him grin in amusement. "I don't believe that I caught your name. My name is-"

"Princess Camilla Royal. Hard to miss, your highness. Especially with your stunning beauty before me, I can't help but be astonished by it."

I couldn't help but blush. Especially with the look he's giving me.

What is wrong with me? I'm married for Pete's sake!

"No need to feel embarrassed, your highness. I'm not sorry for stating the truth."

I couldn't help but blush even more. How can he say such a thing with a serious expression such as that?

I cleared my throat. "No need for formalities. I haven't caught your name, Mister...?"

"Everett Princeton, your highness. It is a pleasure to meet you." He gracefully bowed in greeting.

"Please, no need for formalities. Just call me Camilla. Milla is what my friends call me."

"Okay then, Milla it is," he said.

I smiled, as I knew that I had gained a new friend here in the castle.

I was reading a novel about the mysteries behind microbial organisms as the door to the palace library had suddenly opened. I looked over to see Grace, the maid slash friend of mine that I had made on the first day here.

"Your highness, I-"

"What did I say about formalities, Grace? I did make an exception since there are rules in the castle" I asked playfully, yet stern.

Grace looked away forgetfully and cleared her throat before continuing. "Pardon my forgetfulness. Milla, I have just received word about an upcoming ball that is being hosted tomorrow night. His majesty had also received notice and have ordered for both yourself and his highness to go to the ball together."

I closed my book shut and placed it onto the dark wood desk on the side of the armchair. "And this is tomorrow night? So soon?"

"Yes yo-, I mean, Milla."

I sighed in despair and dread as I nodded in response. I didn't notice that Grace left until I heard the library doors shut loudly, notifying me that this wasn't a dream.

Blake's sudden appearance to my bedroom had shocked me tremendously. Especially this late at night.

"Apparently we are both having to go to the ball tomorrow as a married couple," He said.

I looked at him strangely. "Yes...?"

He sighed in annoyance. "Make sure not to embarrass me tomorrow evening. And don't mess around with any males."

I looked away in annoyance. "Hypocrite," I mumbled.

He was about to storm out until he heard me, and glanced back at me with his piercing eyes.

"What did you say?"

"I said, you're such a hypocrite. How come you get to be together with Vivian and I can't even make friends with a male?"

I blinked only once, and Blake had managed to storm my way and pin me down onto my bed, holding both of my wrists in a firm hold.

"Because, all men are predators. They only want one thing nowadays. And you wouldn't want that with anyone but me."

I was about to argue about his claims until I became lost in shock and hunger as his lips crashed down into mine.
