Even though I tried to stop him, Blake wouldn't listen to me. He picked me up the cliche bridal style and carried me up to my bedroom. The three maids from earlier had run up a few minutes ago to set up a warm bath for me. I was trembling so much that the motions vibrated onto Blake, but he didn't say anything about it. I leaned my now drying hair against his broad chest and I could hear his heart thumping rapidly.

I couldn't look up at his face. I already knew that his soft kissable lips that I loved were pressed thinly into a frown. His eyes set hard as stone as it burns with fury. I felt a tiny bit of warmth in my chest from seeing how much he cared, but for some reason, I couldn't help but think about how long this would last. It's already been a year since we've married and we've become much closer than before. But that doesn't change anything. We'd still remain friends and he'll continue to hate me for ruining his relationship.

Blake got to the third floor without breaking a sweat and carried me over to my room at the top of the steps. Using his body to shift mine onto one arm, he was able to open the door handle without much stress. He brought me in and the three maids were already gone, the scent of the roses that they usually use for me in my baths wafted through the bathroom opening. He walked through and the large tub was filled with warm water. He placed me into the counter and looked up into my eyes.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

I nodded my head. "I'm okay. A little tired and cold, but other than that, I'm fine."

His eyes glinted with disbelief at my words and scanned his eyes up and down my body. My body tingled from his heated gaze as they trailed from my face, lips, neck, chest, waist, legs, then back up. By the time they got back to my eyes, they were dark with desire. He took a breath and turned his head away.

"Get undressed and soak in the water. The chills should go away."

He turned to leave, but my hand quickly grabbed onto his arm, shocking the both of us. He looked at me, his brow risen with question. I felt a blush rise on my cheeks as I used my free hand to clutch onto my soaked shirt that was now tightened around my body.

"T-thank you," I murmured. I turned away, letting go of his arm, embarrassed. "T-that's it."

He went silent for a bit.

"If you don't mind, I need to get undressed."

None of us moved for a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if we were even breathing. Finally, I heard shuffling, but Blake wasn't walking out, he took a large step back to me. Coming back in front of me, I looked back into his dark hooded eyes as he placed both arms beside me, trapping me between the counter and himself.

"Actually, I do mind. I didn't get my reward yet."

I gazed into his eyes. Reward? What reward?

"My reward for saving your pretty ass."

Holy moly. Am I in the bath already?

"W-well. What do you want then?" I asked quietly.

His eyes darkened even more, if that was even possible and leaned forward.

"This."

His lips molded onto mine and I immediately responded by winding my arms around his neck. Since I was on the counter, I was able to reach up to his nose. He leaned into me and his hands wrapped around my waist and tangled into my hair. His tongue tasted my own and electric shocks burst in my mouth. He smelled like a warm summer breeze and sweet citrus. I shivered as his hands then trailed downward to cling dangerously close to my butt.

My lips tingled as he lightly but my lower lip and sucked on it to relieve the delicious gentle pain. I weaved a hand through his dark locks and the other on his back where his broad back felt heated against my cool finger tips. He groaned as I shifted my body closer to his and he immediately brought his hands down to grab my butt. I moaned when he squeezed my sensitive clothed behind.

That must've stopped him, because he pulled away from me. Our breaths mingled together and his hot breath tingled on my bruised lips. His gaze looked from my eyes to my lips. His finger came up to slightly graze the tender flesh and I shivered. He gave me one last peck and slowly let go of me.

"You should get ready for your bath. It's gonna get cold," Blake licked his lips as he stared at me, causing me to heat up from his addictive gaze. "Thanks for the reward. I thoroughly enjoyed it."

My breath caught as he gave me one last heated gaze with a sexy, after-a-heated-make-out-session smirk, and left me there in an aroused, erratic puddle.

The bath had cooled down a while ago, but I still couldn't help but feel like it did nothing to cool down my burning skin. My heart was still thumping so quickly as I remembered the sensation of his big greedy hands exploring my body.

I couldn't help but start thinking, how long is this going to last? What if he's only using me as a replacement in order to forget about Vivian? Is she even still a part of his life? I mean, they have been together since high school. And I'm still in it! Except, not anymore since I had to take classes here instead of in the public school I was once in with Eve and Ali. I was in higher risk if I remained there after my marriage.

I was going to graduate in a few months, and I was given special permission to graduate with Eve and Ali. With my class. I was so happy when Xander and Diana told me that. Even though I wasn't technically a student there anymore, the principal allowed me to as a special occasion.

I took in another breath and decided that I should get out. I stood up from the now cold bath that failed to cool me down, and grabbed a fluffy white towel. I undid the stopper and wrapped myself. I glanced into the mirror and grazed my lips and smiled. The only thing I can do about this marriage right now is enjoy it. One day, Blake and I would have to separate, and I know that for a fact. He never approved of this marriage in the first place. He probably even has the divorce papers ready once he feels like leaving.

No matter how much I loved him and wish for a mutual relationship, I can't do that to myself. They never said anything about staying forever. After all, successful marriages are only in Disney movies.
