Your POV
"Whoo! C-minus!" Toby said.

"C-plus. What did you get, Jim?" I asked.

"D, and probably summer school." He answered.

"Señor Uhl said that next week's Spanish final counts for 20 percent of our grade. If you ace that-"

"Yeah, Jimbo. Twenty percent is the difference between life and death. I mean, academically speaking." Toby said as we walked into Jim's house after getting off our bikes.

"Yeah, lets bring our books to training. Cramming couldn't hurt." Jim saw Barbara's purse on the coat rack.

"Mom, are you home?" He asked.

"I'm here, kids." She answered. We went into the living room and saw her standing there with her arms crossed, and covered in paint. We looked over and saw my aunt and uncle, and Toby's nana.

"Oh, hello!" She said as she waved. We waved back.

"We need to talk." Barbara said.

"Those four words are never good." Toby mumbled from beside us.

Time skip
Jim, Toby, and I were now sitting in chairs, watching Barbara pace back and forth.

"Barbara, what is going on?" (A/n) asked.

"This is bad." (U/n) said.

"On the phone, you said these children's lives were in trouble." (A/n) said.

"My Toby-Pie would never be in trouble. He's an angel." Nana said and Toby smiled.

"Actually, Mrs. Domzalski, I'm afraid they're in serious danger, but it'd be best if they explain. Kids?" Barbara looked at us and we chuckled nervously. Everyone sat down and looked at us.

"I don't know what she's talking about." I lied perfectly.

"Neither do I. Jimbo, maybe you could help us out" Toby said as he elbowed him.

"Um.... uh..."

"It's the drugs, isn't it?" (U/n) asked as he stood up.

"What? Uncle, we're not involved with drugs!" I said as I put my hands out in front of me.

"It's not drugs, it's trolls." Barbara said and us three gasped. Uncle sat down.

"The internet! I knew it." Uncle said and I pace palmed.

"Not internet trolls, real trolls." Barbara said. My aunt and uncle looked at nana and they all started laughing. Us three looked at each other confused.

"Wow, thanks." PT 2Where stories live. Discover now
