Catalina's pov
I lay on my bed staring at the ceiling
Lost in my mind just thinking of Francis, he made me feel something I can't describe it I'm just lost right now.

"Princess Catalina!" I hear my servant and rise from my bed
"Come in" my guards let her in
"Ah! great your up!"
She walks over and opens the curtains blinding me
"¡ah mi tan brillante!"
(Ah my so bight!)
I roll my eyes and walk over to my vanity and sit down.
"Sorry your Majesty, but you have a long schedule today, you must hurry and get ready for breakfast, with the prince and his mother, then you have to send your mother off."
"Oh ok. I was hoping I would get to take a stroll in the garden, but I guess no."
"Oh you will have plenty of time for that later but for now-"
she claps her hands and maids and two of my ladies come in Inés and Clara.
"I'll let you freshen up." My servant walks out and 2 maids follow her leaving me, Clara and Inés, and 3 maids alone.
"Well let's get ready!" I clap my hands and stand up from my chair.

I put on an elegant, peach-colored dress with lace and flowers,
"Oh Catalina you're truly a princess"
I nod my head and run my hands down my dress, "thank you, Clara I don't even feel like one though..."
"Probably because you don't have this-" Inés places a crown on my head
"Perfect, thank you" I run my fingers through my hair and take a deep breath in.
"Well, I must head to breakfast with Francis and Catherine." I lift my dress just a bit and walk over to my vanity mirror.
"You guys did a great job!" I look back at them
"Only the best for our Queen!" inés walks over to me and pats me on my back
"You'll do just fine." She whispers in my ear making me feel so much better about this whole day.
"Thank you." I walk over to the door and knock on it for my guards to open.

I walk around for a bit until I see Francis seated at a large table with his mother Catherine.
"Ah! You finally decided to join us!" Catherine says with hatred and sarcasm in her tone.
"Well I didn't have much of a choice, did I?" I clap back at her and then walk over to my seat next to Francis.
"Well how did you sleep Catalina," Francis says looking up from his food straight at me.
"Not so good I just kept thinking and wondering" I smile and put a napkin on my lap and then I look at Francis.
"So. What are we doing today Francis?" I ask curiously
"We? We aren't doing anything but you have to send you Mother off."
"I actually was hoping I could skip that and have a little stroll through the royal gardens with you..." I look at him and he looks up from his plate and we lock eyes and he smiles.
"I guess we can have that arranged"
"What! No! She's your mother you have to see her go." Catherine stares coldly at me
"I think my mother would want me to get to know my fiance more rather than send her off ." I clap back once more and she scoffed.
"Well if you say so, I'll be in my chambers if you need me." She rises and walks away angrily
"She just needs time to get adjusted to having you around, " he rests his hand on mine "but know that you are welcome here Catalina" I smile at him and take the napkin off my lap and put it on the table
"Well, let's go for that stroll now."
I rise from my seat and put out my hand for him to take it.

"So Catalina tell me, how did you feel when you first saw me?" Francis says as we stroll through the royal gardens
"Well, of course, your gorgeous and all and your eyes! Oh they are just the most beautiful shade of blue and your lips look so soft and-" I quickly cover my mouth "I didn't say that last bit out loud did I?" He chuckles
"It's fine, please continue"
"Hm! tell me your first thought when you saw me, " I stop and look at him, he lifts my chin up so that we're looking dead in the eyes of each other,

"Well, I thought you were beautiful and elegant but not like the other girls I've been with, it was something about you that pulled me in and just makes me feel so comfortable and safe." He looks at my eyes then lips and I do the same, we both lean in and he puts his hands on my waist and lifts me but just a bit so we can kiss and I feel sparks and love and I feel.. Safe.
We both pull away and he spins me around, I giggle and he stops and puts me down and kisses me again and we both pull away
"You are a really good kisser!" I exclaim my eyes widen at what I just said! He puts his hand out and I take it "Here come with me, I want to show you something" he pulls me and we run.

"Wow, what's this?" I look over to Francis
"When I was six me and my childhood friend Mary, queen of scots-"
"Your ex-fiance?" I look down at my shoes, he walks in front of me and lifts my chin, "no need to worry she's the past you are the present and future." I stand on my toes and kiss him, he wraps his hands around my waist and I put run my hand through his hair, I giggle a bit giving his an opening to slither his tongue in.
We just kiss there for what seems like forever until we hear slow clapping,
We break apart and I look around and notice my ladies smiling and clapping, I roll my eyes and rest my head on Francis's chest and look over at them.
"¿Por qué debéis arruinar un momento tan perfecto?"
(Why must you ladies ruin such a perfect moment?)
I jokingly say
"Bueno, vinimos a dar un paseo y los vimos poniéndose calientes y pesados y ¡decidimos mirar!"
(Well, we came for a stroll and saw you two getting hot and heavy and decided to watch!) I roll my eyes once more and Francis laughs, I look up at him and smile
"We'll let you twos get back to-" Susana points at us "that" then she pulls the girls hands and they run off laughing
"I like your friends" Francis runs his hands through my hair "yeah, their more sisterly than my real one"
"That's good, but we should probably be heading back soon" he tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear,
"I'll race you" I start pulling away and look him in the eyes
"Wait-" before he could finish his sentence I dash off "hey! That's cheating!" He quickly runs after me and we both run back to the castle
