The next day was spent in meaningless persuasions and explanations. As much as he hated hurting his friends, he still was firm on his decision, but tried nevertheless tried to diplomatically lessen the blow for them. But the trio was not having any of that.

He had his reasons for doing this, and as much as they hated to admit it, they did understand why he wanted to do. And even if they did not, they would respect his wishes, but they still wanted to try. They were still in denial. It was funny for Eidos to see Chaos all agitated, his regal demeanor gone, pacing, as he tried to convince him with Zoe tapping one of her foot on the ground, creating a subtle tap-tap sound as she though of things to say.

Hours upon hours were spent with Chaos trying to hit Eidos where his loyalty lied and Zoe piping up sometimes. All the while, Luke was just sitting there in shock. It was understandable, according to Eidos. Xavier had to now take control of the most elite force in the world, and it was  no easy job, but Eidos was sure he would do a wonderful job, and especially with Zoe by his side. But Luke thought otherwise.

Before Eidos had come to outer space, when it was only him and Zoe, the Chaos armies were a mess, and now if he was abdicating, then would it go to what it was or would he be able to manage the pressure? He was already stressed just thinking about it.

But there was a small chance that they could change his mind. So after he got out of his tangled thoughts, he too joined the force as they tried to reason with Eidos, deep down knowing that it was pointless, but still trying desperately.

Eidos was tired. He really need a break to just relax. 10,000 years of continuous stress had really worn him down to the bone. Numerous battles and wars had left him with a weight of guilt upon his shoulders and talks of diplomacy and alliances had left his tongued tied.

He had become this machine, wired only to help, help, and help, because that was what was left. He was broken but he wanted to fix all those who were about to break, so he gave his life for the betterment of the world, believing that there was no one, nothing left for him.

But now....now he knew he was not alone anymore. He had Luke, he had Zoe, he had the creator of the universe by his side. He finally confronted his misery head on and ended up uprooting it, leaving him with peace of mind and tranquility. He wanted time just to reflect his life, and come to terms with all that had happened.

But what he did know, was that He was not Alone.
