I had just arrived at hotel that the team was staying at in France.
It had been a long 9 months of deployment and I could wait to my moms and the team.
That's when Dawn appeared with a big smile on her face and pulled me hug which I gladly return.
"Their going to be so happy to see you" she said pulling away
"Thanks for helping me pull this off" I said giving her a smile
"No problem, I'm glad to help. You know they are going to kill you once they get over the excitement of seeing you right?" Dawn said with a smile
"They will get over me not contacting them for a month when I explain I was busy pulling strings to get here" I said waving off her statement
That when we reached the door to the conference room.
"So they are almost done watching film. Just come in with me and hang out behind them" Dawn said right before she cracked the door open and quickly moved into the dark room with me right behind her.
My heartbeat started to quicken as I saw my moms. I was so close to them and they had no clue as they continued to watched the film.
I felt a huge smile on my face as I continued look around the room and see that no one had noticed me yet.
That's when the film ended and I saw the lights switch on and everyone start to get up while I didnt move from my spot behind all of them. Waiting to see who would notice me first.
I watching them when Alex stood up first and turned around and just froze as she looked at with shock, almost like she couldn't believe her eyes
"No way" she said causing several people to rush to her and others to turn to face me, where I was standing there. My checks starting to hurt from smiling so wide.
That's when I saw my moms looking at me.
"Hi" I said waving at all them, which seemed to bring all of them out of there state of shock.
The next I knew Mom was rushing towards and pulled me into a hug. I snuggled into her embrace, missing the feeling of her warm hugs.
"I've missed you so much" I mumbled into her embrace and I felt her squeeze me tighter
When I pulled away from her, I looked over for the other person I wanted to se
When I over at Ma, she was standing their looking at me and Mom with tears running down her face, like she couldn't believe I was right in front of her.
I slowly made my way towards her and stopped in front of her
She reached her hand up to cup my cheek, when she did I placed her hand over hers
"Ma, it's me. I'm home" I said as tears started to build in my eyes
That when I felt her pull me into a hug and I felt the shoulder of my shirt start to get wet.
I just squeeze her tighter and rubbed her back.
"I love you ma" I whispered as felt another pair of arms wrap around the the both of us.
I looked up to see Mom smiling down at me
"I love you too, mom"
"We both love you" she replied
"So much, you don't even know" ma said pulling away from us with a hug smile on her face, seeming to come out of her shock as she wiped the tears off her face
"Now what are you going here, you aren't suppose to be back for another two months" Ma said looking at me
"Did you really think I would miss watching you guys play in the World Cup? I haven't missed an important tournament since you adopted me" I replied with a smirk
I felt a smack to the back of my head causing me to look up to see Ash returning the smirk
"That's for lying" which only caused me to laugh
That's when I heard some one cough to gain our attention
"Can we now say hello to our niece, we've missed her too" Megan said bouncing her her feet like a little kid
"Of course" I said as she flew in my arms, nearly causing me to fall
That's how the next half hour went. Everyone giving me hugs and welcoming me back.
I was just happy to be back with my family.
