On the following morning I woke up surprisingly well rested. I was a bit thrown off that Cedric hadn't come into my room throughout the night or during the morning to bother me. I was overjoyed with the idea of waking up every morning like this. However I knew that it wouldn't last. I remembered the promise he had made me if I kissed him. After stretching and cleaning myself up I walked outside my room. Suddenly I heard a couple laughters coming from downstairs that grabbed my attention.
As I made my way there I overheard Britney's voice saying "I mean it Cedric! You have the most charming smile I have ever seen..It's no wonder you have all the girls crazy about you..". She giggled like a schoolgirl with a crush.
I walked past them and opened the fridge to see what was there to eat. "It's rude not to say hello Jade" I heard Cedric say as I ignored him and continued raiding the fridge. He suddenly stood up and closed the fridge.
"What the hell is your problem!"
"Address everyone here before you eat like a dog"
"Excuse you!? Who are you calling a dog!"
"Cedric is okay let her be. She didn't offend me did she offend you Britney?"
"Well Cedric is right..She needs to remember her manners Daddy taught us better than that"
"Brit really?? You're going to side with him!?"
"Cedric is not asking you to do something so difficult Jade. It's a simple hello"
"You know what forget it..I won't deal with drama this early in the morning"
"Oh Jade you forgot something" Cedric suddenly grabbed a plate of eggs with salad and threw it on the floor near my feet. "There's your food little doggy..Now eat" I heard Britney chuckle a bit. I ignored him and continued to walk but quickly stopped as I felt him yank me by the hair.
"Ouch! Let me go you asshole!" I screamed as he forced me to get on my knees. His best friend Chase immediately stood up and approached Cedric.
"Cedric let her go man don't do this"
"It's okay Chase. Sometimes you gotta treat an animal for what they are..An uneducated animal that doesn't know better"
"Cedric stop it!" I cried out as he forced my head lower towards the food on the floor. "You won't leave until you lick this floor clean. You were too hungry to acknowledge the rest of us right? Okay good. Now eat!". I couldn't help but let out a couple of angry tears. He was humiliating me in front of my own sister and his friend. Someone I barely knew but even he had more sympathy to stand up for me than my own blood.
"Cedric my friend..This is not the right way to treat your Wife..She's a lady not an animal..Please let her get up" Cedric gave him a long thoughtful stare and suddenly picked me up as he laughed.
"I was just joking. You seriously thought I would make her eat from the floor?"
"You're a fucking pig! I hate you Cedric Wesley!" I slapped him across the face and then left running to my room.
