Same warning as before: kinda angsty but fluffy at the same time

The next few weeks I spent at Grimmauld place were beyond pleasant, if it weren't for the odd run ins with my relatives it would be perfect. I kept mostly to myself only speaking to Remus and Sirius as well as Mad Eye, Dumbledore and Professor Snape on a few occasions. Remus tried convincing me to talk to Tonks but she was almost always surrounded by someone I didn't want to see. I spent my days clearing out the attic, in my room or with Buckbeak. In the evenings I would try to speak to Sirius or Remus unless there was a meeting in which case I would read out loud to Buckbeak. For the first two weeks I ate alone in my room sometimes joined by Remus or Sirius who brought me up food.

The first day I walked into the kitchen at lunch the room fell silent. It was just my luck that the only people in the room where my parents, the twins, Ron, Ginny, Granger and Tonks. Sandwiches hung leisurely out of people's hands as they stared at me like an unwanted intruder. To my surprise Granger smiled at me and motioned with her hand to the seat next to her. I was about to sit down when a voice tore through the room.

"You aren't seriously going to sit with us?", Ron spat.

"Great seeing you too, Ronald.", I snapped back grabbing a sandwich and storming out of the room with an unpleasant flavour in my mouth. I went straight to the place I didn't have to hold back on my emotions- Buckbeak's room. As close and grateful as I was for Remus and Sirius, they had quickly become like big brothers or father figures to me, I couldn't bring this wall down in front of them.

The moment I shut the door I slid onto the floor and wept. Within seconds Buckbeak was by my side gently pecking my arm. I stroked the majestic creature's head picking out the ham from my sandwich and letting him eat it of my hand.

I heard some raised voices that evening after I spoke to Sirius about what happened and from then on if I brought myself to eat downstairs Ron restrained himself from commenting.

When Harry Potter arrived everything got worse. I sat silently as the conversation ensued, almost bored. Sirius had been somewhat updating me on what was happening, not too detailed but enough he knew I'd figure it out. I guessed it was one of his silent protests against my mother.

In fact, I had made myself so silent in the corner of the room that everyone jumped when I let out a low, bitter laugh after my mother claimed Potter was "as good as" her son. All eyes were on me as I pushed my plate away from me and stood up.

"I seem to have lost my appetite.", I said with a fake smile plastered on my face as I walked out of the kitchen.

A few days passed and I retreated back into barely interacting with anyone. I hadn't spoken to anyone but Sirius or Remus until a few days after Potter's trial when I was sat in Buckbeak's room reading the muggle play 'An Inspector Calls' by J.B. Priestly. The door creaked open but I didn't bother turning around, no one but Sirius and I ever went in here.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd be in here.", said the person who entered but it wasn't Sirius how I expected.

My head snapped back to look at the intruder who was none other than Harry Potter himself. "What do you want, Potter?", I asked bluntly but not unpleasantly.

"I just thought I'd find Sirius here.", he explained edging into the room.

"Well, he's not here. Try his room.", I said trying to keep my cool, I did not feel like arguing but Potter was really pushing my limits. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate Potter. Just because I hung around with Draco Malfoy doesn't mean I participated in the bulling. I stayed out of his way and he stayed out of my way. The only thing I had against him was the fact he was friends with Ronald, but then again so was I once.
