Character: Johanna Potter
I know that Lucius was in fact older than the Marauders but for the sake of the story he's in their year:)

"James Potter!"

"Gryffindor!"

"Johanna Potter!"

"Slytherin!"

Crap. Johanna thought as she walked to the Slytherin table, her brother already sat at the Gryffindor one. It's not that she had anything against Slytherin. No. But James and Johanna have been not only twins but also best friends since forever and being put in different houses was a big deal. Huge.

Across the hall James sent her a small confused smile turning back to his friends after a moment.

Johanna quietly sat down at the end of the Slytherin table. Her sorting had not been the only shock of the evening; Sirius Black had been sorted into Gryffindor. It was somewhat of a relief to her really, at the very least the students would be too busy talking about Black to even properly register her unusual sorting for a Potter.

A blonde boy sat to the left of her looked her up and down sceptically before turning away silently. A Malfoy. Johanna realised and looked away, she knew enough about pureblood families to stay away from some. On her left sat a small hook-nosed boy with black, greasy hair, Johanna remembered him from the sorting - Snape? Not a name she recognised but then again sometimes that's for the best.

"Hi.", she said confidently, "Snape right?"

"Yes, Severus Snape.", he said coolly.

"Johanna Potter.", she said extending her hand.

"I know.", he said shaking her hand tentatively.

"Is that your friend over at the Gryffindor table?", Johanna asked, generously serving some pie onto her plate.

"Yes.", he nodded stifly.

"My brother is two seats down from her.", she said.

There was no response from Snape, Johanna scoffed loudly and tilted her head away from the boy.

"A Potter, huh?", a voice to her left said slowly.

"A Malfoy, huh?", Johanna copied looking at the source.

"Lucius Malfoy.", he said.

"Johanna Potter.", she replied a small smile playing at her lips.

Later in the dormitories the girls were finally settling in.

"I'm next to the window.", announced Johanna throwing her robe onto the bed with a brilliant view of the black lake.

"I'll take the one next to hers.", said a blonde girl from the door way and walked up to Johanna, "I'm Narcissa Black, by the way, but you can call me Cissy."

"Nice to meet you.", said Johanna, "My name's Johanna Potter."

"Nice to meet you too.", Narcissa replied.

...

"You've nearly got it now, Miss Potter.", Slughorn said kindly, "Maybe some tutoring would help you out, I'm sure one of the more... confident students could help you."

"Of course, professor, I can always ask Lily Evans for some help.", she said gathering up the bits of parchment on her messy desk.

"That would work... except, I worry you girls would get distracted with your chatter. Lucius Malfoy may be a better choice."
