"What's wrong?" Quiava asked Jean, as she took a seat next to him on the couch of her parent's home.

"Every time you leave the room your sister makes a rude comment about me not being on your level," Jean answered.

Quiava glared at her sister, Sabina.

"What else has she said to you?" She asked him.

"That she would give me money to leave you," Jean replied as Quiava stood up and walked over to where her sister was standing with her husband, laughing.

Quiava cleared her throat.

"Ahem, Sabina, we need to talk," Quiava said.

Jean remained on the couch but paid close attention to Quiava's body language just in case he needed to jump in and diffuse the situation if the conversation went bad.

"Yes, we do. When are you going to stop playing with that bum?" Sabina asked Quiava.

Quiava was shocked.

"Who are you calling a bum?" Quiava asked her.

"That butler you brought into our parents' home. Do you not have any self-respect? I mean Quiava, sleeping with your business partner's butler is low and then you have the nerve to show him off like he's some sort of prize. You're embarrassing this family and yourself." Sabina answered.

"Sabina, that was rude." Her husband, Jack said.

Sabina rolled her eyes.

"Oh please, I'm just telling her the truth. He doesn't even love her. He's using her then he'll drop her just like every other man has done." Sabina said.

Quiava clenched her fist then raised it and punched Sabina in the face.

Jean jumped up and quickly grabbed Quiava before she could hit her sister again.

"Don't you ever open your mouth and talk about him against or else, I will beat your ass every time I see you. I can't stand you, Sabina, you're always thinking like you're better than me but who is the one still living off of her parents? You. You're the one embarrassing yourself. You stupid bitch!" Quiava yelled as Jean said goodbye to her parents and grabbed her purse and car keys.

Jean carried her out of the house and to the car.

"Why didn't you let me hit her more?" Quiava asked as Jean put her in the passenger first seat.

"And let you beat her to death. She doesn't stand a chance against you, Quiava besides it looks like her husband is going to curse her ass out tonight." Jean answered.

"Jack always acted like a real sibling to me than my sister," Quiava said.

"I can tell by the way he was pinching your sister every time she said something rude," Jean said.

Quiava laughed as Jean jogged to the other side of the car to get in. Jean got in the driver's seat and started the car.

"By the way, where did my parents and you disappear to, earlier?" Quiava asked.

"We just had a little talk," Jean answered, pulling out onto the street and driving off.

"Talk about what?" She asked.

"You and I." He replied.

"They weren't rude or anything to you, right?" She asked.

Jean shook his head no.

"No, they are happy, you settled for someone like me." He answered.

Quiava smiled.

"That's good. I would have hated to cut off my parents." She said.

"Would you have done that for me?" He asked.

"Yes." She answered.
