Chapter 26

                   Unwanted conversations

After an hour or two, game night was officially over. We all packed out of the room . Chelsea and I met up with Nat and Anna. We were about to follow the crowd when Reede came.

"Hey ladies",Reede said

"Hi", we all said in unison

"Mind if I borrow Amy for a second?" ,Reede said with an innocent smile.

"Sure ,have fun guys ", the girls said winking and walking away ignoring the look on my face begging them to stay.

My friends are the best.

"So, what's good Reede? ", I ask playfully punching his arm.

"Nothing's good ,but I'll tell you what's bad. You kissing Ryan. It has bad written all over it. ",Reede said fuming.

I know it's the wrong time, but I couldn't help but smile at how jealous he's being.

"So you think this is funny. Wow! Amy just Wow",he said and was about to leave, when I grabbed his wrist to stop him and I feel that same spark I feel each time I touch him .

"Look I'm sorry OK. Can we talk in private? ", I said

"Sure ",he said calmly.

He led me up the stairs and into his room. I mean his own room. I forget sometimes that his parents are billionaires. We sit on his bed few feet apart.

"Look, I just have a couple of questions and   I'll really appreciate if you don't lie to me ",he said begging me with his eyes.

"Ok ,I won't lie to you ",I say meaning it

"Thank you .Ok, why did you allow Burns kiss you ?",he asked

"Technically, I didn't allow him kiss me. I didn't even realise the dare was directed to me and when I did, it was too late ",I told him

"But you kissed him back ",he stated

" Well, I didn't mean to ",I say raising my voice a bit

"I'm sorry ,I didn't mean to raise my voice ",I add

"It's fine. I just want to ask you one last thing. Is that OK? ",he asks gently

"Yeah ",I say

"How many times have you kissed Burns since that day at the party ?",he asks me with accusing eyes

"O my God, I can't believe you'll really ask me that. Do you not trust me at all ?",I yell offended

"I really want to but you just make it so hard to sometimes ",he says raising his voice.

This is the first time he's ever raised his voice at me. I'm so shocked and angry that I can't control the next thing to come out of my mouth.

"Well, you're not my boyfriend so I don't give a fuck about your goddamned trust issues ",I yell

Oh my God. I didn't mean that. I want to apologize but I can't bring myself to, seeing the shock in Reede's eyes. The room is silent for a couple of seconds.

"Twice",I say breaking the silence with the last bit of courage I have.

"What? ",he asks oblivious

"Twice. I've kissed Ryan twice since that day at the party including today ",I say

"When was the first time? ",he asks

I'm mute.

"When was the first time Amy? Answer me goddammit! ",he says hitting his fist on the bedside drawer beside him.
