Third-Person POV
Emily walked into the physics classroom. She sat her bag on the table and sat on her chair. She slowly started to unpack her bag. "Morning." Someone next to her said. She glanced up and saw Calvin. "Morning." She responded. "Is this seat taken?" He asked her. Emily shook her head. Calvin sat next to her. "Don't you want to sit next to Brody or Cameron?" She questioned.
The boy in front of her shrugged. "Brody isn't here and I don't want to see Cameron right now." He said quietly. "What's wrong with Cameron?" She questioned. Calvin shrugs and puts his books on the table in front of him. "Nothing. We just...we had a little argument. Nothing to worry about." Calvin lied. Emily was suspicious of what Calvin just told her.
She didn't believe him. She was about to open her mouth when the teacher walked in. "Morning, class! Mister Anderson, it's great to have you back." The man in front of the classroom sat. Cameron smiled awkwardly, in the back of the classroom, and slid down his chair slightly. Every eye was focused on Cameron at that point.
He wanted to hide behind his books and pretend he doesn't exist. Calvin, who sat on the other side of the classroom, tried not to look at Cameron. It would only make things more awkward if he did. Though, he couldn't help it but glance at him for one second. Somehow, that second felt like everything. He thought he was crazy. He quickly snapped himself out of his thoughts. However, there was one thing that never left his thoughts. The thing Calvin said. 'What if you don't come back?'. That quote made Cameron wonder. Was that a thing a friend would say, or does Calvin truly feel something more than friendship? The teenager was just starting to get frustrated by thinking about it.
"Alright, everyone, we are going to pair up today." The teacher said. "Shit." Cameron cursed under his breath. "Mister Anderson, is there something you wish to share with the whole class?" The man behind the desk asks. Cameron shook his head and folded his arms over his chest. The teacher shrugged. "Well, as I said, you will pair up with someone in this class. In duo's only." The man said. He took out a piece of paper. "I have already paired all of you up, so please listen closely, I will not repeat myself." He said sternly. He called out every single name, except for two people. "And last but not least, Anderson and Clayton." He said. "Fuuuuck you." Calvin and Cameron both whispered. The teacher ignored both of them. "Everyone sit next to your partners." The teacher instructed. Calvin looked at Emily. "Do something." He whispered. Emily glared at her friend. "What do you want me to do? I thought he was or of your best friends." She complained. The teacher walled up to Calvin and Emily's table.
"Is there a problem?" He asked the teenagers. Calvin looked up at his teacher. "Sir, I don't think it's such a good idea for me and Cameron to work together." He told the man in front of him.
"Mister Anderson, I thought I was doing you a favor. Have you noticed that over the past years I have never put you with one of your friends? You should consider yourself lucky this time. Now, go." He instructed. Calvin sighed and stood up from his seat. He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked towards Cameron's table. He sat next to him, not saying anything. Cameron didn't even look at his friend. The teacher walked back towards his desk and explained the projects. Calvin's heart was pounding in his head.
They would have to talk to each other at some point. He turned to Cameron.

"H-hey." He stuttered awkwardly. Cameron turned to Calvin. "Hey." He simply answered. Calvin didn't know if he should continue this conversation or not. Cameron didn't seem like talking to Calvin at the moment.
Calvin couldn't blame him. What he did was stupid, he probably messed him up real bad this time. "I saw your friend the other day. Max was it, right?" Calvin questioned. Cameron nodded. "Yeah, he's visiting." He answered shortly. There was a silence after that. Both teenagers glanced the opposite ways. Calvin sighs and turns back to Cameron. "A-about the other day-" he started. "I don't want to talk about it," Cameron said cutting him off.
Calvin sighs. "We'll have to eventually." He said quietly. "We don't," Cameron answered him. The physics teacher walked towards their table. "Is there a problem, boys?" He asked them. The teenagers shook their heads.
Their teacher walked off again leaving both boys to look at each other. "Why don't we split the project and we each do our own half?" Cameron suggested. "We can't. Each of these tasks acquires two people." Calvin said.
Cameron groans and puts his head on the table. "Groaning isn't going to help you get this done faster you know," Calvin tells his friend. Cameron glared at the boy next to him. "Shut up, please." He said and rests his head on his arms again. "Sorry, your highness." Calvin chuckled. Cameron couldn't see the joke. Annoyed, he stood up from his chair. He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out of the classroom. Calvin stood up and walked after him. "Hold on, you boys can't just walk out of class!" The teacher said trying to stop them. Both boys ignored him. Calvin followed Cameron into a hallway. "What's your problem? I'm just trying yo have a conversation with you and joke around a little." Calvin explained. Cameron turned around and pointed at Calvin.
"You want to know what my problem is? You are my problem!" Cameron exclaimed. "I thought you said you didn't have a crush on me." He added. "I don't." Calvin defended himself. Cameron chuckled. "Calvin, if you didn't have a crush on me, you wouldn't have kissed me," Cameron said. Calvin took a step back. "I do not have a crush on you. That kiss was an accident. I never meant for you to get confused or anything." Calvin apologized.
Cameron glared at him. "Confused? Do you think that kiss confused me about my sexuality? Cal, I am not homosexual." Cameron said. Calvin holds up his hands. "That's what happened to me. I just thought that-" Calvin started. "No! You don't think, you assume things. You assume that a kiss could turn me to be gay. Guess what, it can't." Cameron said. Calvin huffed annoyed.
"Listen, I know you're still new to me being who I am, but you can't possibly think of me like that. Do you know how offensive that is?" Calvin asked him. Cameron didn't answer that. "You know, for the past months, I've never been offensive towards you. I've been trying to be your friend ever since you got here. And all that you've done is treat me like shit! You know I don't remember Blake suggesting to sit next to you on your first day. I also can't seem to remember Max coming here to tell you about Brenna in person. No, he texted you and said 'Sorry Bro.'. But who was here to cheer you up or pick up the pieces? I was." Calvin said. "So don't you dare to upset me, because I am done being nice!" He added and pushed Cameron off slightly.
Cameron then shoved Calvin into a wall. Calvin was trying to push him off but he wasn't strong enough. "You're hurting me." He said quietly. "Then stop fighting," Cameron said. His eyes were very dark. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Calvin questioned. Cameron snapped out of his trance and backed up. "No wonder you're friends with Blake. You have some serious issues." Calvin said. He shoved into Cameron's shoulder before he headed back to the classroom.

*Time Skip*

"I assume by you're phone call you're worried about me," Cameron said. "Yeah, that and the fact that you've been ignoring me for weeks. Cammy, what's going on? I am worried sick about you." Brenna answered. Cameron sighs. "Bren, you don't have to pretend to care for me anymore. I know you cheated on me." Cameron said softly. He only heard her breaths after that. After a while, he opened his mouth again. "Max told me. Why didn't you say something?" He asked her. "I-I was s-scared." She stuttered. Cameron noticed by the sound of her voice that the poor girl was crying. "Brenna, please don't cry. I just want to talk." He said. "I'm sorry, Cammy." She whispered. "Bren, it's okay. We can work this out, I know we can. We can forget about it and start over." Cameron tells her with a slight smile. "Cameron-" she started. "Princess, I'll come back to you if you want. We can start over." Cameron said with a smile. "No..no...I'm sorry I can't," Brenna said and hung up. Cameron sighed loudly. So this was it? Its truly over?
