Warning: You might want to get some tissues, this might get emotional. (I suggest you listen to this song as you read the chapter. I listened to it while writing it and it makes it a lot more real. And writing this chapter made me shed some tears...so good luck)

It was like a slumber of sadness had fallen over the town as the day of Blake's funeral had arrived. Cameron was not handling any of this very well, then again, who could? It was like a part of him just got ripped out of him. It didn't matter to him that he had only known him for a couple of weeks. Friendship is friendship.
The teenager stood outside waiting for Calvin to pick him up. The rain was pouring from above and the skies were filled with dark clouds. A car slowly pulled up in front of the house. Cameron put out the cigarette he was smoking and walked over to the car.
Calvin looked at him. "How are you?" He questioned. Cameron sighed and slid down in his chair slightly. "Terrible. Can you just take us there so we're done with this?" He asked Calvin. Calvin nodded and started to drive towards the graveyard where they were supposed to meet friends and family. As soon as they arrived, Calvin glanced at Cameron.
"Are you sure you want to go? There is no shame if-" "I have to do this. I want to say goodbye." Cameron interrupted him. Calvin put his hand on his friend's shoulder. "That's very brave of you." He said. Cameron nodded and glanced at Calvin. "Just stay close to me, please." He asked him. Calvin nodded and smiled at him slightly and nodded. "Every second." He tells him.

Together they stepped out of the car. They made their way over to Blake's parents. Blake's mother was wiping her tears away but the mascara poured from her eyes. Blake's father, the principal, was holding his wife close to him as he himself shed a couple of tears. They had welcomed Cameron and Calvin with tears in their eyes. Not soon after they had arrived, when a man walked up to the front. "We are gathered here today, to say goodbye to a beloved soul. Heaven has gained another angel. It was a shame, that such a young boy had to die so soon." He said. Blake's father spoke a few words on behalf of him and his wife. Blake's mother could not stand there and speak. She sat crying her eyes out. After a few minutes, Blake's father was finished and walked back to his seat and tried to comfort his wife.
"I would like to ask a friend of Blake to stand over here and speak a few words. Cameron?" The man up front spoke. Cameron sighed and walked up to the front.
He took a deep breath before opening his mouth and starting to speak. "I want to start by saying how sorry I am for Blake's parents. He loved you, both of you, very much. He always used to talk about the fun things you used to do with him. It sometimes even made me a little jealous. Not every family is as close as you are. Blake was a wonderful friend. I was proud to be called his friend...and even his brother. He helped me through tough times, he was there for me, and I am not sure if I thanked him enough for that.
The night...it happened...he was at my house. We had a lot of fun. There was a lot of laughing and happiness, nothing to worry about. Blake made all my worries disappear, even if it was for just a slight second. And I will always remember this night, not only because of the fun we had but also because of what he said to me. He said to me
'Cam, of all the friends I have, you're the best one I have. You're like a brother to me, and I love you like one as well.' he said. Now that I am standing here, I regret not saying it back. Actually, there were a lot of things that had to be said but weren't. I regret it. Blake, if you're hearing this, know I loved you as if you were family. You were like my brother, and nothing will change that." A tear rolled down his cheek, "Not even death. Thank you for being a better friend than I could ever be to anyone. Thank you." He said. He slowly walked back to Calvin. He sat down next to him and wiped his tears away.
After a few more words, they lowered the casket into the ground. Everyone was asked to stand and throw a white rose on top of the closed casket. One by one they all threw their roses in. Blake's mother walked over to Cameron and held his hands in hers. Her red puffy eyes looked directly into his soul. "Thank you, for being here. And for being a friend to him." She thanked him. Cameron nodded. "Of course." He said and wrapped his arms around the woman in front of him. They stood there for a while as the rain started to pour down again.
The woman glanced up at Cameron. "You remind me of him, just as kind and thoughtful as he was. Take good care, my boy." She whispered to him. He nodded. "You too, Mrs. Kenneth." He said. Calvin came up behind him and put his hand on his shoulder. "Let's go." He whispered. Cameron nodded and walked with Calvin to the car.

They sat there in silence for a while before Calvin spoke up. "Those words you said...they were really beautiful." He said to him. Cameron nodded not saying anything. Calvin reached into the back of the car and got a bottle of whiskey out of his bag. He opened it and took a sip before handing it to Cameron. He took it and drank the alcoholic drink inside of the bottle. "This is all my fault," Cameron whispered. Calvin glanced at him and took the bottle from his hands again. "I should've taken him home instead of letting him go by himself. I got him killed." He said quietly. Calvin shook his head. "Hey, hey, hey! Do not blame this on yourself, alright?" He tells him. Cameron didn't respond to him.
"Do you want me to take you home?" Calvin asked him. Cameron shook his head and let all of his tears come out. Calvin didn't hesitate and pulled the boy next to him closer. He slowly rubbed his back as they hugged each other. They just sat there in silence for a couple of minutes. Calvin just tried to comfort Cameron as he cried his eyes out. After a while, Cameron pulled back and looked into Calvin's eyes. He glanced down at his lips and then back into his eyes. They both put their hands on the right cheek of the boy in front of them and pulled them closer.
Their lips touched. Suddenly everything felt right again, as if the world around them had just disappeared. Cameron slowly pulled back from their kiss, just so their lips wouldn't touch anymore. He pressed his forehead against Calvin's. "I'm sorry." He whispered.
Calvin gazed into his eyes. "For what?" He whispered back. "You have a boyfriend," Cameron said. "We're not officially together," Calvin tells him. Cameron didn't understand. Calvin chuckled quietly. "Just come here." He whispered and pulled Cameron back into a kiss. Calvin slowly got up from his chair and made his way to the backseat without breaking their kiss. Cameron quickly followed him. First, Cameron sat next to him. Calvin glared at him and broke their kiss. "What's wrong?" Cameron asked him. Calvin pulled Cameron onto his lap. "Much better." He said and pulled the boy back into a passionate kiss.
