Third-Person POV

Cameron sat on his bed with a book in his hands. He was trying to read Stephen King's 'Christine' but he was unable to concentrate. The thought of his best friend and the girl he loved wouldn't leave his head. The boy sighed and closed the book again. He grabbed his phone from his nightstand. He checked his messages. He had received hundreds of texts from Max. Cameron didn't even feel like opening them. He checked Blake's contact. Blake hadn't read the text Cameron had sent him last night yet. "That's weird." He said to himself. Maybe Blake had gone to bed right after he had gotten home last night. He could be sleeping in or something. Or maybe he's somewhere with his mother or something. Cameron shrugged it off and turned off his phone again. Right after he did, he received a text. Cameron groans and unlocks his phone again.

Calvin:
You have to come to
the hospital!

Calvin had texted him. Cameron rolled his eyes at the text. It was probably some kind of prank. Or Calvin had texted the wrong number. Cameron knows Calvin. And he knows his friends as well. True pranksters and always up to no good. Especially Brody. Maybe it's him that's texting. This has to be some kind of joke.

Calvin:
Cam, Blake's here...in
the hospital. He was shot...

Cameron's heart dropped for a second. 'S-shot?' He thought, 'That can't be true.' Cameron's thoughts were running wild. He texted back Calvin asking if this was some kind of sick joke. Or if he was drunk or something like that. Calvin quickly replied telling Cameron that this wasn't a joke. Cameron replied after two minutes saying he would be there as fast as he could. He rushed down the stairs and put on his shoes and jacket. He ran outside and jumped into the car. He drove to the hospital at a crazy amount of speed. Within a couple of minutes, he arrived at the hospital. He ran inside the building and straight up to the reception at the entrance. "B-Blake...Kenneth. Where...is he?" Cameron said while he was trying to catch his breath. The receptionist told him the number of the room and which way he had to go. When Cameron walked away he heard her say 'sorry'. The teenager ignored it and ran through the hospital looking for the right. After a couple of minutes his found Calvin sitting on a chair. He had his head in his hands. "Calvin!" Cameron said. Calvin glanced up. "Cam! Listen, I-I don't know-" Calvin stutters. Cameron puts his hand on Calvin's shoulder. "What the hell happened?" He asked the boy in front of him. Calvin took a deep breath. "Well, David and I were outside and...and we h-heard a gunshot. We saw some people gather a-around so we got closer. Cam...h-he was just laying there o-on the street with blood coming out of him." Calvin stuttered. Cameron saw a tear rolling down his cheek. A doctor walked past them. Cameron removed his hand from Calvin's shoulder and walked after the man. "Is he alright? Blake...is he alright?" He asked him. Calvin walked up behind Cameron. "Cam...Blake died from his injures. He stopped breathing before the ambulance arrived." Calvin said quietly. Cameron looked at the doctor in front of him. "He's joking right?" He asked. The man in front of him sighed. "I'm sorry, he's telling the truth. His family is saying goodbye, this seemed like a more comfortable place than the morgue. I'm sorry." The man said and walked away. It felt like his heart was shattaring into a thousand pieces. His legs felt shakey, he felt like he could drop to the floor any second. Calvin puts his hand on Cameron's shoulder. "Cam, are you-" He started. Cameron slapped his hand off his shoulder. He turned around and glared at Calvin. "You did this...didn't you?" he asked him. "What?" Calvin questioned. Cameron's eyes seemed to turn a lot darker. He even pushed Calvin a little bit. "You never liked him, you didn't like me hanging out with him, you did this." Cameron said. Calvin holds up one of his hands. "Cameron, I know you're probably feeling a lot of emotions right now. You're angry. But I didn't do this, man. I know you want to blame someone, but it wasn't me. It couldn't have been me. David and I-" Calvin tried to explain to him. Cameron shook his head. "I don't care about you and David or what you two were doing. You did this." Cameron said.

A/n: Sorry guys, shorter chapter today. I didn't have a lot of time to write. That's why this has come out a lot later than usual. Sorry. Next chapter will be longer, I promise.
