Chapter 14: An Unexpected Visit

Karma and Nagisa made their way back to the Akabane household. Karma didn't mind leaving some of his stuff at Grisha's for now, it was nothing too important. He had a little camera positioned to spy on the door so he would know if anyone suspicious turned up.

"Hey Karma, do you really think it's possible to control your subconscious. I know people can meditate and stuff but I mean instantly. Is it really possible to just instantly sleep and then awake?" Nagisa asked, with visible uncertainty.

"I'm not sure, probably. I mean listen, if Mika said it's possible then it's possible I guess and even if it's not you're still Nagisa and you have always been Nagisa. You don't need no extra protection your the best assassin I know, I mean you beat me at martial arts, that's my own game." Karma said, with a smile.

"I guess that's true."

Karma nodded.

"Thanks strawberry!" Nagisa said, giving Karma a peck on the cheek.

"Stop doing that." Karma said, getting slightly flushed.

Nagisa giggled.

The two boys carried on making their way to Karma's, still engaged in conversation.

In the meantime...

"Am I really gonna have to call him? I really don't wanna but I might have to." Light said to himself.

Karma and Nagisa approached the road the gate of the house, that's when a car pulled up in front of the gate.

Nagisa didn't sense danger but raised his guard, same for Karma.

The car's tinted windows began to come down.

"Hey Karma, you called?" 

"Professor Bitch?" Nagisa said, as he relaxed his muscles.

Mrs Bitch leaned back to reveal Karasuma in the driving seat, who had just been suffocated by her tsunade-sized breasts.

"Oh hey, Mr K." Karma said, tapping his access card to open the gate.

Mr K and professor bitch drove through the gate as Nagisa and Karma followed behind them.

"You called Mr Karasuma?" Nagisa asked.

"Yeah I was hoping to talk to you about it first but turns out that plans out the window. I just thought he would be the best person to take you under his care. I mean at least you won't end up with a random psychopath then plus you will still be able to see me often." Karma explained.

"Hmm, okay you're doing the talking though. I'll only step in if I need to."

"Whatever." Karma said as he twisted his finger through the back of Nagisa's hair, like he had been doing the whole journey.

Mrs Bitch and Mr Karasuma got out of the car and made their way to the front door that Karma was holding open for them. They all made their way to the living room.

"So Karma why did you call my workplace saying you wanted an appointment with me, I'm sure it's nothing important or you just would have called but Irina insisted we came over because, in her words 'it's good to catch up'." Karasuma said as he held up quotation marks towards the end to indicate what Mrs Bitch had said.

"Well you see I don't know how involved you are with the police force but Nagisa's dad past away a few months ago, it was a murder and we still aren't sure who did it-" Karma began to say before Irina interrupted.

"Awww you poor boy, Nagisa are you doing alright?" Mrs bitch said, as she pulled him in for a hug.

"Professor bitch you're suffocating me." Nagisa said, gasping for air.

"No Karma I wasn't aware of this, continue." Mr Karasuma said, as professional as he always was.

Karma looked at Nagisa as he nodded.

"Okay, anyways a few months after that his mother went 'missing'. We don't know if something happened to her or if she just left. But when I saw the house everything was intact and looked normal but her room was a complete state which was weird. Maybe she was attacked and just didn't put up much of a fight. Anyways he went to live with his uncle after that, he's the last relative he has any contact with."

"Hmmm, I didn't hear about that either. Is there anything else that's happened?" Karasuma asked, as Irina was holding Nagisa in her lap.

"Yeah one more thing, this one is big news so I think it's best if Nagisa fills you in." Karma said, as he looked over at Nagisa.

Irina loosened her grip.

Nagisa began to tell the story of what happened at Grisha's in very high detail. He spoke about the day he met him and how he was so nice and then the morning of the injection and then how they had spoke to Karma's friend and actually spoke with the demon within him. He spoke about everything right up to this point now.

Karma wrapped one arm around Nagisa and pulled him in for comfort. He looked like he was gonna cry, I mean who would blame him. He had to talk about his uncles murder all over again it was like reliving the whole experience.

Mr Karasuma and Mrs Bitch were almost speechless.

"Nagisa. I understand you have been through a lot and you probably feel like you don't know what to do right now and you don't understand much but how would you feel if we took you in as parents? It would be better than anyone else and trust me we can handle ourselves so it's kind of perfect. If you ever need help we're here for you." Mr K said, for the first time sounding quite sympathetic.

Irina nodded.

Nagisa began to wipe the few tears that lay upon his eyelids. "Yeah, I would like that."
