After the death of her mother, Rya, a sixteen year old girl, sets out to find her father, who she had not seen in fifteen years due to her mom's paranoia and desire to protect her.
The two finally find each other again. But, danger is always lurkin...
She had alerted Noah that Christian had come back a while ago. The three had gone into his study to talk there and they still hadn't come out. It had been thirty minutes already.
Now, normally she was a very patient person, but she had reached the point where she just could not wait anymore. Therefore she simply barged in the room and plopped down onto the couch next to Josh, Noah's father as he had introduced himself to her.
"So what have you guys been talking about?" She asked as she made herself comfortable. She asked but really she knew they were talking about her. It was why they were in his study after all.
"Just about how excited we are to get to know you!" Josh said excitedly and engulfed her into a hug that had her gasping for air.
"Can't Breath." She rasped out dramatically, her hatred for hugs making an advance. Albeit it was a joke, he really was cutting the blood circulation in her arms. He immediately let her go after he heard her and chuckled nervously.
"Sorry. I tend to get a little bit too excited at times" He said sheepishly.
"Rya, as you can see Josh's brain has not yet developped beyond his toddler years. That's why he can appear insanely immature. Frankly I don't know why the hell I'm still friends with him." Christian stated.
Josh, offended, flipped him the bird "At least I know how to live, unlike you" he muttered.
Noah, always the one to stop the wars between the two stepped in. Again.
"Anyway! Why don't we get started on dinner?" He said and opened the door to the study to get out. He was seriously getting tired of having to come between them. He thought that maybe since there was a new addition she could help him out a bit too.
Yeah, I'd like that, he thought. Noah grinned to himself just imagining the sight of that.
The remaining people in the room saw no fault to his plan as they were all hungry and got up too.

"Oh my god! You can't just throw out eggs because they 'don't look nice'! Putain de merde, J'ai jamais rencontré quelqu'un d'aussi con que toi." Rya shouted at Noah exasperated.
They were all in the kitchen, preparing dinner, which was nothing fancy really; scrambled eggs mixed with minced meat and potatoes. It seemed like an odd diner for some but Rya had practically grown up with that dish for dinner, since it was one her mother's favorites.
All was going perfectly well until Noah decided that he didn't like how three eggs looked like and threw them away.
"I'm sorry, what was that? I didn't catch the end, was that French?" He asked sounding confused.
"Yes. It's my first language so it's a reflex whenever I'm angry." She said.
She didn't know why she explained it to him because now he was going to ask a lot of questions that she didn't have the patience to answer. She was tired. Who could blame her, the girl had barely slept that night. She was too busy singing songs on the balcony.
"Oh wow. That's cool." He said and turned back to mixing the eggs in the pan.
Rya stood there, shocked but relieved at the same time. Everytime she spoke in french people would question her relentlessly. They wanted to know why she could speak french so well, where she lived before, Wasn't Lebanon in the middle East so why does she speak French? That's why she thought for sure that he would harass her for the answers too.
Christian and Josh were watching their kids talking to each other, conspicuously.
Noah's father turned to the other and said " I think they're going to end up together. Look at how he's looking at her!"
Christian suddenly had an odd sort of feeling in his chest at the mention of that. He didn't want his daughter talking to any boy. Much less fancying one. But, this was Noah, he's known him since his diapers days. He could trust him with her. He still scowled at the thought, as any dad would do at the sound of their daughter getting cosy with a guy. Even if he had just met her. Christian couldn't explain it, but as soon as it was confirmed that she was actually his daughter, all the love and protectiveness he felt for his little girl all those years ago came rushing back.
"Yeah, we'll see about that. I don't think she's stupid enough to fancy your boy" Christian said to rile him up.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean Chris?" He asked, offended. There was nothing wrong with his son.
Christian just shook his head in amusement and turned around to go to his room. He needed a shower.
"Chris! I asked you: what's. that. supposed. to mean?" He bellowed out from the kitchen.
Christian just continued walking and shouted back "Whatever the fuck you want it to mean Jo"
He heard snickers from the kitchen and smiled at the fact that he had made his daughter laugh..
