Atlantia's Beginning

Chapter 39: I lose my family to Gaea.

For a few minutes it was going good. I released my powers on the closest giant which happened to be the giant twins Otis and Ephialtes. They were burned completely leaving only ash behind to show that they actually existed. The other demigods spurred on by my killing of the giants, unleashed their own attacks on the giants. I joined Annabeth in the fight against a giant that was nearby. Together we work to destroy him as I hear Leo's voice booming over a loudspeaker.

"SURRENDER! YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY ONE SPANKING HOT WAR MACHINE." I laughed as I pushed my sword through the giant's chest and pushing my powers through it. The giant screamed as he was destroyed.

"Valdez." Encheladus howled at Leo.

"WHAT'S UP ENCHILADAS?" Leo yelled into his microphone. "NICE DAGGER IN YOUR FOREHEAD." I glance over at the giant and let out another laugh when I see Piper's knife in his head.

"Gah," Encheladus pulled the dagger out of his head before shouting at the monsters to destroy the Argo II. The monsters swarmed forward as I saw the earthborn launch rocks and other debris at the Argo II in hopes to take it down. I saw the caverns that the gemini were braking through were instantly destroyed and I think judging by who's focus was there, Hazel was the one doing it. Frank had turned into an elephant and was stomping out as many monsters as he could. Percy was working with Jason to take out Porphyrion while Piper joined Annabeth and I to take out the monsters in our area. Everything was going so well until the earthborns were able to land a volley of Earthborn rocks on the Argo II knocking off many of his oars that were keeping the ship in the air. It shuddered but it stayed in the air. However, Enceladus threw his fiery spear at the ship. It pierced the hull and exploded inside. Fire could be seen through the oars opening and a black cloud of smoke covered the deck before the Argo II began to sink.

"Leo!" Jason cried out.

Porphyrion just laughed, "Atlantia you can't stop us all and save your friends. The demigods need the gods to aid you. We only need one more thing from your friends to make our victory complete." He points to Percy who was standing unaware that his nose was still bleeding from when he was slammed into the column. I realized what he was waiting for.

"Percy! Your nose..." I try to say but it was too late. A single drop of his blood fell from his chin and hit the ground between his feet. It sizzled like water on a frying pan and the Acropolis groans and shifts as the Earth Mother awakes.

I didn't know what else to do so I summoned a spear and slammed the spear in to the ground pushing my powers outward. The nearby monsters were destroyed quickly but the giants were still standing.

"I'll take the giants!" I shout at my friends. "Jason, get Leo out of the Argo II. The rest of you take care of the monsters." My friends all shout their acknowledgement of my plan before disappearing into the crowd of monsters to do their part. I stared down Encheladus before rushing him with my spear. I dodge his attack with Piper's dagger before slashing him with my spear. Using my powers, I swing myself up Enceladus's body and summon a spike from the Earth that punctured his body. I used my powers to finish him off and as I was turning toward the next giant, I heard a scream of agony. I glance toward the voice and I see Jason dropping Leo next to Percy who immediately joined the fight, before running toward a crowd of dracaena. Piper laid there in the middle with her own sword stabbed through her chest. I grimace but continue to fight. There was nothing I could do right now especially with Gaea rising. Jason was like a miniature tornado as he killed in anger the dracaenae to get to his dead girlfriend. I was fighting Porphyrion but I noticed another giant had split off from the group to fight Jason. Jason did his best to try to fight him but without a god, he could not kill him and ended up being the one killed instead. Anger was building inside of me so I used it as I fought the King of the giants. I slammed the King with my wind powers into one of the columns and the column collapsed right onto him. I opened the ground beneath him and he fell into a hole that led straight to Tartarus. As I turned back to the monsters, I saw Frank get overwhelmed by a fire that I didn't realize was started by the Earthborns while Hazel tried to rescue him. However, as she did so a pack of hellhounds attacked her and she was unable to stop them from tearing her apart. Then the ground shakes and everybody, monsters, giants, and demigods alike all fell to the ground
