Amalia's POV

I never thought a week would go by as fast as it did, only until today.

I walk through the shop floor as I sweep a last glance on my way out. Xo left me in charge to close up today because she was unwell therefore, I sent her home. She insisted at first like always, but I practically forced her out. That woman never sees a rest day, instead she'd rather work until she breaks a bone.

I make my way home and throughout the journey, I felt jittery because today was the day I get to see my husband after months.

I did miss him but that wasn't entirely the case. It was more that I no longer wanted to be alone around this huge villa. With Thiago back, at least I would have someone to entertain or be busy with.

Speaking of, Tony left last week and never returned like how he claimed. The day he left was the day I informed Thiago to return was soon as. Ever since he left, I've been calling Thiago everyday but not once did I mention that this brother has left. I'd leave it to him to find out when he arrives.

Just before I reached home, I called Thiago one last time to find out if he had landed in Italy. The last I spoke to him was last night, in fact I have no idea if he got on a plane today as I didn't get to speak to him today.

I shrugged the thoughts off when I reached home, expecting to find Thiago but when I pulled up in the drive way, there was no sign of any cars. I sigh as I sit in the car for a second, confused, before I watch the villa grounds; it was so quiet.

I step into the villa once again with silence, a dull moment welcomed me because the first thing I was expecting was Thiago but he was nowhere to be found. In fact, housekeeping was nowhere to be found as well.

Where the fuck did everybody go?

"¿Alguien en casa??" I call out as I saunter to the kitchen, "Thiago?"

After a dull moment of silence, I frown and relax my tensed body. Where did everyone go? Most importantly, where the fuck was Thiago?

I stood still as the eerie silence surrounded me, I glance up at the huge staircase and realised that nobody was here. The villa was empty, not a sound entered my ear other than my heaving breathing, but then a thought crossed my mind.

Why did it feel like somebody else was here?

As I finally make my way up the stairs, I pull out my phone and decide to call Thiago. I place the phone against my ears once I stood at the top of the staircase, and as I did, my heart crashed in my chest for a second.

Ever since he left, his room had been cleaned out and unused. It's been empty, dark and void of his presence and it did disappoint me a little.

I roll my eyes as I look away and sigh when I approached Thiago's room, it was fùcking empty just how I expected. The line was ringing, which meant that he was receiving my calls so why the fuck wasn't this penjedo picking up my calls?

After a few tries, I finally submitted to his voicemail.

"Where are you Thiago? I thought you would return today, I hate being alone." I say and then stay silent for a moment, "Call me back once you get this, I'm worried."

I dump the phone on the bedside table and sigh as the silence continued to comfort me. The comforter on the bed was so warm and so cozy, I slipped into bed and thought about a few things.

Once Thiago returns, I would update him on everything I know about his brother Tony. First thing being is that he was lying behind his brother's back all these months. I close my eyes and instantly see his face, his distinctive features and his hypnotising eyes.
