Amelia woke up before the sunrise one morning in early December to a loud bang coming from the kitchen downstairs.

She crept down the wooden stairs as quietly as possible, cringing when her foot fell on a particularly squaky step. She made as little noise as she could as she leaned around the corner and peered into the kitchen.

"R-Ron?"

Amelia was utterly stunned to see the youngest Weasley boy standing in front of the pantry, a bag of, oddly enough, bagels in his hand.

"Bloody hell, Ronald, what the hell are you doing here?" She whisper shouted, crossing the kitchen in a few quick strides in order to give him a hug. "Where's Harry? And Hermione? Are they with you?"

Ron shook his head. "No, it's just me. Where's Bill? And why are you here?" He asked, equally as confused.

Fleur came tiptoeing into the kitchen just then, wrapping her bathrobe tighter around her as she surveyed the two criminals that sat in her kitchen.

When she saw Ron talking to Amelia, she just rubbed her tired eyes, sighed, and said, "I'll go get your brother."

It seemed that Fleur had grown to be unfazed by the random family members and friends that were prone to showing up. With the current political climate, and the fact that Shell Cottage was slowly becoming a safe house for the Order, it was probably a good thing that random strays showing up at all hours of the night didn't shock her.

Bill came into the room, also in his pajamas, and unlike Amelia, whose first reaction was to hug Ron, Bill smacked him upside the head.

"Why are you in my house at four in the morning?" Bill said, exasperated with his brother.

Ron smiled sheepishly. "I—well, uh, I need a place to stay for a bit. Hope you don't mind."

another meely is a war criminal chapter but this time ron's in it
